Easton’s solo on “Just What I Needed” should be required learning for any guitar player. He does so much without ever seeming overly flashy
when i had a short lived guitar IG account that was one of my first four or five videos i posted. got good feedback but it was too much time editing videos.
Everything up til Lowell George's death is incredible, especially Sailin Shoes, Dixie Chicken, and Feats. Columbus is the peak for me but it's live so you know. Incredible band RIP Lowell
I’m by no means a Little Feat heavy but this is one of my favorite songs ever. A pocket deeper than jnco’s
wrote about Marvin's Here, My Dear, which I had never heard before. wacky album but I really liked it! The New RS 500: #493 Marvin Gaye — Here, My Dear
Listened to Hector Lavoe's Comedia and it was awesome. I knew I liked his voice from albums he did with the Fania All-Stars and Willie Colon so I figured I'd give him a go. "El Cantante" is apparently super-famous, but the whole thing is impeccably produced and sung. Fania has never let me down.
I'm listening to Music for 18 Musicians, but apparently the 1998 one. I will have to go back and listen to the 78 version later. Either way, really beautiful stuff here.
Woah, "Music for 18 Musicians: VIII. Section VI" is the very clear inspiration for "Love on a Real Train", huh? Almost identical EDIT: Er, I guess all of it resembles that song haha. It caught my ear around that section
I've been playing "Music for 18 Musicians" daily for the past two weeks. What other Reich should I listen to?
It’s not even close either haha. also please do a Judas Priest deep dive, I’d love to know the results of that
