Just listened to that again last week after watching that very meh Beach Boys doc and man, that is a goddamn perfect night driving album.

 

I am going to start reading Beach Boys and the California Myth when I wrap up my current book

 

Let me know how it is. Their career is pretty fascinating. I actually just saw Bonnie Raitt last night and when she introduced Ricky Fataar as her drummer I just instinctively half-yelled "He was a fucking Beach Boy!"
