I don't think I "get" a majority of Cream's Wheels of Fire... there's definitely some great musicianship here, but I don't quite care for the lead vocalist on most of these tracks and the run of "Passing The Time" - "As You Said" - "Press Rat and Warthog".... just not doin it for me at all...

I honestly find that album a bit of a slog compared to their first two, but the good moments are too good to ignore for me.

Just listened to it for the first time. Pretty awesome. Those first 25 seconds are great sampling material.

Listening back to Stevie Wonder albums from this era, it's clear he was always an impressive musician... but wow, it's incredible whatever happened in the early 70s that gave us unbelievable albums.

damn, In The Groove / I Heard It Through The Grapevine is really a strong album top to bottom, Marvin just GOES for it throughout, so much power in his voice.

The Mamas and the Papas album is pretty enjoyable throughout, but their version of Dream A Little Dream Of Me is truly stunning, just a perfect track

whoever recommended the Marvin Gaye / Tammi Terrell album was right, very enjoyable album. Also, I never dug into full Otis Redding albums til now, but I'm pretty blown away by The Immortal Otis Redding, which I never knew was as well loved as Dock Of The Bay, but honestly I think it's the better album.

    It's all hell.

Off the back of watching Belfast I've been listening to a lot of The Love Affair's The Everlasting Love Affair, because Everlasting Love absolutely rules, and it's so good. Hush is a banger.
