I would like to go on record as caring about the 60s. That aside, I guess the question is how do we feel about an album that wins two lists beating an album that, say, comes in third for 6 different people. Do we want to emphasize passion or consensus. I’m fine either way because the discussion and exploration is more important to me than the ranking
Best way to solve that is to adjust the points system. Say: 1st - 5 points 2nd - 4 points 3rd - 3 points HMs - 1 point (also, sorry I’m not participating much. been really busy and haven’t had much listening time)
we could do it like that. in this case, robert johnson would win over judy garland. is that okay with everyone?
My top 3 albums of 1961 is probably something like.. 1. My Favorite Things - John Coltrane 2. Sings Lonely And Blue - Roy Orbison 3. Spanish Harlem - Ben E. King
Cool. Robert Johnson wins. Here's the 1962 thread. I'm already mad about the albums I had to cut. This is when three choices begins to get hard. 1962 in music. • forum.chorus.fm
