“Roger Deakins is god” better be in the next trailer or at the very least back of the blu-Ray

 

Does anybody know when the UK theatrical release is? I’m home for Xmas until New Years Day and wondering if I’ll be able to catch it before I go back. Japan’s cinema release dates are total bollocks and if they even bother releasing it at all, it’ll be like a year late.

 

I think it’ll only have a chance at cleaning up in the technical awards. The acting is very strong and the story is pretty straightforward enough to land it as the wild card Oscar Best Picture. But I don’t think it ranks up there with the big ones of the year.

 

Just realized Deakins also did Sicario and Skyfall, two of my most favorite movies from the last 10 years

 

I was wondering about this, as I heard more about this being done in the "one continuous shot" style

 

Found this is actually just him nerding out to cameras and lenses he uses/has used

Also, he hates flares, a la JJ Abrams
