Pineapple Express is so great. The fake sequel they did in This is the End is probably the best part of that movie.
The Coens' comedic timing is perfect. And the comedy overall is bizarre and cerebral in the best way. It's in all of their films even NCFOM. Their funniest scene is Brad Pitt in the closet. Hail Caeser looks really funny.
I want to say something like Anchorman or Pee Wee's Big Adventure is my favorite comedy but every time I put on Dumb & Dumber I laugh at it uncontrollably like I did when I was 12
Superbad, The 40-Year Old Virgin and Forgetting Sarah Marshall are definitely the best of the Apatow and Apatow style comedies of the last decade. Pineapple Express is hilarious too, but I'd chalk all of that up to Franco's brilliance in that role
I love Ryan Reynolds, Justin Long and the kid from Freaks and Geeks, but I wasn't into this at all. I do remember being in a pretty despondent mood when I watched it late at night, so I think it would be unfair of me not to give it another try. Normally, slice of life, workplace, all-in-one setting movies are my thing, but I just remember this being really vulgar and crass without much wit or charm behind it.
Alien Goodfellas Jaws Jurassic Park Children of Men The Life Aquatic Sean of the Dead There Will Be Blood Boogie Nights Gremlins 2
YES!! I actually considered listing it with the others I previously mentioned, but I rank it slightly lower. Another one of my personal favorites that others don't talk about as fondly. It really speaks true to just about everything I experienced working in restaurants. It's like Office Space for restaurants... another movie I'd rank fairly high.
Give it another shot. It is vulgar and crass, but I can picture people I worked with in restaurants that are EXACTLY like every character in that movie. It's incredibly spot on with what it was going for. The dick showing game is a little much, but it's not that far off from things I've seen/heard some people do.
See, that's what I was hoping I would get from it, but I didn't think it had any of the subtlety or quiet moments that makes Office Space so great. I'll definitely try it again, though. A guy writing a screenplay based on his experience working at a restaurant sounds great to me. Clerks and Office Space are two of my favourites
I'm ashamed that I consider myself a big horror fan and have never seen an Alien film. I'm definitely marathoning them all before going to see Covenant
Broooo do it. Watch Alien at night preferably by your self. Honestly uo can skip Resurrection, and AVP. AVP is ok.

At night and alone was definitely the plan (because that's how it should it be experienced and not because I don't have friends and can't pay my electricity bill I swear). I forgot about AvP. I remember that being huge among my friends when that came out, but there was such a generation gap. None of us knew that Alien or Predator were pre-existing
