not looking at my original post in the thread to see how it compares to off the top of my head now Do the Right Thing The Last Temptation of Christ On the Waterfront The Tree of Life Before Sunrise Ikiru Magic Mike XXL Inglourious Basterds Lost in Translation Sans Soleil
OG List: Apocalpyse Now Before Trilogy Do the Right Thing Eyes Wide Shut Ikiru Inglorious Basterds On the Waterfront Tree of Life The Wolf of Wall Street Yi Yi 6/10. I forgot about Kubrick and Edward Yang. I'll always represent a Scorsese movie. I do love Apocalypse Now but don't mind making room for Channing Tatum or Chris Marker.
Revisiting my list from last year that's in no specific order: Independence Day There Will Be Blood No Country for Old Men The Lion King Raising Arizona Swingers The Departed Dead Poet's Society Training Day Remember the Titans Realistically, I'd probably remove Remember the Titans for Shawshank Redemption and miiiight bump Training Day and Swingers off the list as well. I'm not sure for what off the top of my head though.
Dazed and Confused The Birdcage Clueless No Country for Old Men The Big Lebowski Drive The Departed The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo The Perks of Being a Wallflower The Place Beyond the Pines
It’s tough movie to get through, especially when you’re busy. It’s a kind of movie you need to devote an entire day to. I’m sure the love for the film will only grow as time goes on.
I don’t have a 4K TV or a good sound system so I’m kinda waiting to watch BR2049 again until I do, seems like a disservice to me lol
I watched the first one on 4K not long ago and it looked incredible. I can’t wait to watch 2049 on 4K, given how great the standard Blu-ray looks.
1. Raiders of the Lost Ark 2. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 3. Jaws 4. Halloween 5. LA Confidential 6. Ghostbusters 7. Reservoir Dogs 8. Jurassic Park 9. Back to the Future 10. Return to the Jedi In no particular order, and these are my favorites not what I think is best. Didn't realize I was such a Spielberg fanboy. Might do a list of my most rewatchable movies which would be pretty different.
Raiders, Last Crusade, Jaws, and Jurassic Park are all incredible. I went with Close Encounters but all of those films compete for my favorite Spielberg film. Maybe swapping out Last Crusade for Catch Me If You Can.
The Patriot, and Kung Fu Panda are included in my list. I watched them on MegahFilmesHD app (from apknite). They're very good.
Top 15 (chronologically): The Awful Truth (1937) To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) The Birds (1963) The Emperor’s New Groove (2000) The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (2001-2003) Children of Men (2006) No Country for Old Men (2007) The Dark Knight (2008) Inception (2010) The Tree of Life (2011) Room (2014) Sing Street (2016) Dunkirk (2017) The Florida Project (2017) Eighth Grade (2018)
A master piece. But seriously it's a very good film, excellent animation, good story, drama, action and comedy. It's everything
I can say that I watched Mission Impossible 3 the other day....and it may bump something off my list. Probably South Park the movie or Die Hard. It's just such a near perfect action movie, and maybe my favorite Tom Cruise acting performance.
