I am too drunk right now but I will try to do that list in the morning. I have a thorough ranking from 2000 on but before that I will need to dig.
1994 - Pulp Fiction 1995 - Toy Story 1996 - Independence Day 1997 - Starship Troopers 1998 - The Big Lebowski 1999 - Rushmore 2000 - Pitch Black? I would probably take your list except three: 2010 - Scott Pilgrim, 2016 - Nice Guys and 2017 - Logan
Oh shit, I forgot about In Bruges. That's definitely in my Top 10 and would probably replace Blue Valentine in my previous list.

Nice. Any article you'd recommend? I didn't even bother checking cause I thought it was early 90s. That definitely takes my pick for '97.
I'll start with the year I was born. The amount of great films that came out between 2005 and 2010 is pretty insane imo. Those were the toughest years for me to choose from. 1985: The Breakfast Club 1986: Blue Velvet 1987: The Untouchables 1988: Heathers 1989: Say Anything 1990: Goodfellas 1991: Boyz N The Hood 1992: Glengarry Glen Ross 1993: True Romance 1994: Pulp Fiction 1995: Seven (or Casino or Heat) 1996: Fargo 1997: Lost Highway 1998: American History X 1999: Office Space 2000: Memento 2001: In the Bedroom 2002: 28 Days Later 2003: Old School 2004: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 2005: Lord of War 2006: The Prestige 2007: The Assassination of Jesse James 2008: In Bruges 2009: Inglorious Basterds 2010: Blue Valentine 2011: Drive 2012: Seven Psychopaths 2013: Inside Llewyn Davis 2014: Gone Girl 2015: Spotlight 2016: Manchester By The Sea
My favorite part of the Verhoeven interview is how unequipped the lead actor is to talk about the film. He seems like he has not thought very deeply about the film and its legacy.
The Plinkett videos get all the attention, but they are really good at explaining how films work or don't in a language and style people can understand.
I always watch their reviews. Their Ghostbusters one was so awesome. Been watching all of the Best of the Worst as of late. Good times.
I usually have no interest in a lot of the movies they review, but I watch anyway because of how strong their criticism is. So much YouTube film criticism is awful, so hopefully more people learn from them.
You guys were right, The One I Love was fantastic. Charlie McDowell is 2/2 for me. Gotta keep an eye on that guy

Even this list of directors is severely lacking. I'll give it a try, though. Goodfellas Pulp Fiction Rushmore Fargo There Will Be Blood The Empire Strikes Back The Social Network Blade Runner The Princess Bride Dog Day Afternoon
Top 10 movies: The Matrix Kill List Spider-Man 2 It Follows Batman Begins Toy Story Collateral Shaun of the Dead Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Enemy
The only ones that matter to me: 1. Heathers 2. The Craft 3. Pump Up the Volume 4. Romy & Michele's Highschool Reunion
