For me, there's a lot to match up to with last year's EP. Cadavre Exquis was my least favourite at the time but I ended up listening to it about 15 times yesterday; that chorus progression feels so good.
New interview. Some really cool insights. ††† (Crosses): “It’s a trip to really trace where my head… | Kerrang!
I got completely swept along on first listen, it's hard for me to make any critical judgement. But I loved it. Immediate favourites were Pleasure, Runner, Big Youth/End Youth, Grace, Girls Float † Boys Cry, and the title track.
This is a particularly considered and engaged review. https://distortedsoundmag.com/album-review-goodnight-god-bless-i-love-u-delete-†††-crosses/
this is cool so far. can't really bring myself to care about Deftones anymore after all the dumb shit, I'm glad this project is still going haven't heard the debut in years but Prurient is a perfect song
I've listened to this about four times now. I'm restraining myself from writing a drooling mini-essay so as not to build impossibly high, inevitably self-defeating first listen expectations for everyone. So I'll restrict myself to this — those quick panning motorcycle sounds on Pleasure are really cool.
New Provoker album out today too. Interesting you would release your album the same day as your pops released an album lol
Really digging this. I feel like this fits well with this time of year. Doing a haunted ghost tour tonight and I think this would be a fitting soundtrack.
finally chino put out a full album of low-key remakes of smashing pumpkins "eye" and i really like it
Long interview with Chino on a bunch of his various collaborations and tidbits from over the years. We've Got A File On You: Chino Moreno Mentions that Caroline Polachek almost sang a harmony on Grace but she didn't feel comfortable with the Christian allusions and they ran out of time to find an alternative song for her.
