“Anthem Part 3” Being Mixed

God, I hope this album is good.

 

Anthem Part 2 was the song that sold me on blink and is still my favorite of theirs to this day. Please don't suck.

 

There is a lot of hope for this album...I hope it's not false hope.

 

Trying to keep my expectations low, I’m super hopeful but also don’t want to end up being disappointed. Also didn’t dig the single they released, so we’ll see.

 

Based on the snippets that Travis has shared at least some of the album will be FAST

I hope to not be disappointed by this album even though I honestly have no idea what I even hope for with this album lol.

 

Fingers still crossed for Dysentery Mary.

 

I kind of appreciate that the first single was shit, so it automatically tempered my expectations for this album. "Edging" will by far by my least-listened-to blink-182 single ever. Three spins, that was it. I'll maybe give it another listen closer to the album release date, but I have zero interest in it right now.

I'd like to think blink-182 gets their fans enough to not do that.

Unlike say, Reel Big Fish, who released "Drinkin" as a "spiritual successor" to "Beer" and completely missed the mark.
