I don't even remember how the original trilogy ended, because in my head, there was only one movie. Guess I'll have to at least read a summary of that before watching that.

Has anyone re-watched the second and third movies recently? Are they as awful as I remember?

I wouldn’t say they’re awful. But the cgi was really bad, especially in the second one. The fight with a million Agent Smiths looked like a bad cartoon.
The first was just so well done from start to finish. Even the soundtrack was great. My bar and expectations aren’t high for the new one.

I just rewatched the original trilogy, cgi was bad but perfect at the same time. Not sure if it does but to me it does.

I am excited if this is a reboot "sequel." almost like the machines kept Neo going and replugged him in, as well as Trinity and the introduction of young Morpheus is exactly what the Architect said was true.

I am all in either way.

It looks surprisingly good, I guess I didn't have much of an expectation either way based on the last two (though I'd have watched this regardless).
