Insane how quickly this sold out. Site crashes on me when I tried to get either pressing. Guess I’ll just wait for an inevitable repress ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Now it’s either buy one for $400 on eBay or wait for a repress. Some bastards on eBay are asking for $1200. I hate the people who spam buy then scalp vinyl records. At least they limited it to 1 per order but I’m sure people found a way around that.
I only got confirmation from PayPal for my order, no invoice from PGR/TTTH. I got all paranoid since PayPal crashed among the numerous spinny wheels, so I emailed their mail order department and they confirmed my order went through. I just had to make sure *sigh of relief*
Insanity! It's funny as someone mentioned earlier that when this album came out almost 16 years ago it was written off fairly quickly. I played this album so much on cd and on my iPod. I'm glad folks have come to appreciate it after all these years. But also I'm sure the sharks were out trying to scoop up all they could and start flipping them immediately.
I am really really bummed to have missed this. Been looking for a reason to get started on my vinyl collection and this wouldve got me moving.
I don't think my vinyl buying kicked in for real until 2013 when I got a copy of SoCo "Leaving Through the Window" and Finch "What it is to Burn". Figures DTR bands are what started my vinyl collecting! Hope they secure another batch of these for everyone who didn't score one!
I remember reading an interview a while back where Chad (I think) said something about only crediting Steve with writing so he didn't feel "left out" or something to that effect. Like he didn't *actually* contribute anything. However, this was shortly after shit hit the fan, so take that with a large grain of salt.
It’s all to do with licensing. They would have only been allowed to press a certain number by Geffen / Interscope. Mine managed to go through without a hitch on the hour. Dread to think how many times I refreshed the page leading up to it but all worth it. Snagged the colour in colour.
