It makes sense to be internally disappointed with a middling review and bitch about it to your friends, but putting in online and siccing your fans on a music writer is a weird look.

“why not just review things you like” is an insufferable thing to say as well. The reviews aren’t for you! You are not the intended audience! Get over yourself!

 

Hope she gets some peace, clearly a lot going on that we have no idea about. Social media break is a good move.

Great album tho

 

Periodic reminder that multiple things can be true at the same time: they can be experiencing a genuine low point (which I’m definitely sympathetic about and I hope they get whatever they need to get better!) AND it’s still a dogshit move to rile your fans up into attacking a writer online

 

having followed her since the first record, she’s been talking about her mental health struggles on social media for a while. it sucks and i hope she takes care of myself. probably not a bad idea for her team to be the ones to manage her accounts at least temporarily

 

Album is good

 

this album’s confidently feeling like a big swing ànd à miss for me. The song about having a crush and tbh the lyrics in general hit me as pretty vapid. Sad to see whatever’s going on about that review I didn’t read. Hope they find solace from the time away from being online tho, lord knows the internet only makes us unstable

 

Saw her live yesterday for the first night of tour and she was so good. Truly a great live performer. Also hearing some of the songs from this album live made me revisit this album because I had not listened in a while and I still think it is pretty solid! If you are thinking about catching her on this tour I highly recommend it.

There was also this one from her stories the other day. At some point I feel like you have to let it go, especially when it’s at the expensive of someone else (the reviewer) potentially receiving harassment. It seems like Grace may be okay with it now but it still just seems quite unprofessional from Indigo.
