Interested to see how this will do for several reasons 1) Costner has a very mixed to say the least record with big ambitious projects like this of his. When Costner bombs (Waterwold, The Postman), he bombs spectacularly. If this succeeds it will be a gigantic validation for him. 2) this is the project that Costner pretty much killed Yellowstone to go do. Was he right to take the risk in fucking the show he was on for this? We will see 3) this will be a taste test for modern audiences. Will very traditional western epic that could be easily scoffed as a "dad movie" by some be a summer hit in 2024? Also will the traditional western ( vs the more en vogue neo-western ) make comeback? 4) Will releasing a summer movie in two parts a few months apart work as a strategy?

It’s not even believable, “they want Kendrick to post a statement clarifying Drake isn’t a pedophile if Kendrick agrees to end the beef” - I’m sure they’d love Kendrick conceding on both fronts lol, he gains nothing from that as written

I’ve been going through clone wars and have been rating every episode and determining if they are required viewing or not. Hoping to get it down to 50-60 episodes so when I rewatch I just watch those. Also will give the list to my friends to try and get them to watch since no one wants to spend the time on the 130 episodes or whatever it is.

I wonder how show fans will react to this. If it is a faithful adaptation of the novellas then it'll be unlike any GoT show they've ever done. No epic setpiece battles, not a lot of political courtly intrigue, no globehopping following tons of different characters around the world, no dragons. Just a series of straightforward insular buddy adventure stories. It is probably comparatively the most lighthearted stuff GRRM wrote in ASOIAF canon. The closest thing I can compare it to is The Mandalorian, but if Mando and Grogu's entire adventure was on a single planet from season to season.
