the newest issue of Batgirl brought back for what was apparently the first time in a very long time by the way, this current run of Birds of Prey has had maybe three or four shorter story arcs so far, and each one of them has been fantastic

platforming in Afterimage improved significantly upon acquiring double-jump. not sure about the story yet bc honestly i'm spending way too much time exploring the map--it's way too big! I'm finding that Have a Nice Death has a lot of weapon/spell variety, which is really exciting. also i seem to have unlocked easy mode? not complaining, i actually managed to get pretty far with it on.

Afterimage and Have a Nice Death are fun so far. Afterimage has an awkward English dub so I'm trying out the Japanese and Chinese to see which I like better. Have a Nice Death has smoother platforming, and you can actually dodge through enemies without getting hurt, buuut it has that same sort of unintelligible voice acting as like Ori and Hollow Knight where it's not really in any language. idk which one I'll finish before jumping into my next big game. Maybe both? Speaking of which, I was thinking my next big game would be Jedi Survivor, but if, for example, i end up playing Afterimage, Have a Nice Death, and whatever other smaller game I decide to start, until April? I might just skip Jedi Survivor for now and jump straight into TLOU2 haha I was playing the Ascent dlc on mute bc I wanted to listen to the news and kinda keep an eye on the fires that way but I'm just a big bundle of anxiety right now so I decided to give myself somewhat of a break and watch the news on mute instead while playing with the audio on. Yayyy...

the writing for The Ascent was pretty boring and that didn't change for the dlc. the new areas and especially the new weapons are fun though

i've reached the point in The Ascent where I have way too much money. i've already purchased every augmentation and tactical available. I could buy more weapons but upgrading them requires another more limited resource so i only hold onto a handful. also i've completed every side quest. i should've probably lead with that. i probably have only a couple more main missions left. then the dlc i suppose.

I mean I get it, Reeves and Pattinson didn't start this with the intention of joining the larger DCU. That being said, I personally don't think Daredevil and Jessica Jones taking place in the same universe as Multiverse of Madness and Love and Thunder lessens their impact and, uh grounded-ness

I like the idea of the DCU jumping back and forth in the timeline, we can have Reeves trilogy and just say other Bats appearances take place in the future. It already doesn't make sense that our supposed introduction to Supergirl is Woman of Tomorrow where she's already very much established as a superhero
