Huh, I always thought a breakout success was just a sudden success, but a few sites have the added context that it's after a long period of little or no success. You don't have to just be starting out to be a breakout success. Didn't know that part of the definition. You learn something new everyday

I didn't know Twenty One Pilots had fans on here. I don't listen to them but I thought they were sort of looked down upon like Imagine Dragons or Nickelback or something It took forever for me to realize they were different from Stone Temple Pilots, who I also don't listen to

I don't mind this thread getting derailed every now and then, given the weight of the subject matter it's usually so serious in here

had this thought, how far behind am i? The Elder Scrolls: i've played og Oblivion and Skyrim. The first three are too old that i think i'll just skip them Dragon Age: I've played Origins, 2, and Inquisition. Haven't gotten Veilguard Mass Effect: I've played 1 and 2. started 3, haven't gotten Andromeda Baldur's Gate: I haven't played any. The first two are too old that i think i'll just skip them. haven't gotten 3. The Witcher: played half of 1 and all of Wild Hunt. 1 was too clunky and 2 didn't look any better so i think i'll just skip them Fallout: I've played 3, New Vegas, and 4. The first two are too old that i think i'll just skip them Neverwinter Nights: played 1 and 2. ...there haven't been more. Dragon Age is like its spiritual successor. Final Fantasy: I've only played og 7, 8, and half of 13. i have 9 but haven't gotten to it yet i'm not at all interested in mmos like Neverwinter, Fallout Shelter, TESO, and the online FF games honestly, i've played most of these so long ago that i've forgotten much of the story, lore, and any of the choices i made. it's cool that a lot of these games let you upload your previous game save to change the world state but there's no point if i can't remember anything. the only games i've ever paid full price for are HFW and TLOU1-2 (on Steam). a long time ago i thought rpgs were my favorite genre but obviously i haven't been prioritizing them/keeping up with most of the big franchises i've started. i'm excited for new Witcher and Outer Worlds, yeah, but i probably won't play those right away when they come out, either. honestly idk what my next day one purchase is gonna be. i do know i've played a lot of metroidvanias, deckbuilders, and rogues in the last five years, most of them from smaller developers. a lot of them i got for free or on sale or played on gamepass... i'm not really the kind of gamer that's monetarily keeping the industry afloat haha... tldr there's too many games to play (and too many movies/shows to watch, too many comics to read, too many albums to listen to), it's kinda pointless to try to keep up with it all, just go at your own pace and check out what interests you.

IGN Live 2025 Bundle (pay what you want and help charity) includes Black Book and Slay the Spire, which are both very good deckbuilders (the former being a campaign and not a rogue), and Potion Craft, which i kinda got tired of after a bit but was fun for a while. Medium looks interesting, but i don't wanna get a whole bundle for it when i already own three of the games. also hi. i didn't realize there was a new thread

seems like some other ones on sale had a price drop, too; items in cart went from $65 to $49. also tinashe back in stock, so with that i ended up paying $65 anyway but got a whole extra album out of it. was waiting for their extra 40% off deal, but this seems just as good.

I would've probably made it to the Sinners showtime if I rushed like hell but idk I just didn't feel like it anymore, so now I'm seeing Life of Chuck instead lolol. I got Triangle on Blu-ray! I saw it at Amoeba a couple months ago but when I came back for it it was gone but when I came back again today it was there so I grabbed it! I asked the guys at the help desk if I'd have trouble playing it since it says Region B on the back and one of them says he owns a bunch of Umbrella releases and they play here just fine, and when I got home and tried it out surely enough it worked! Might not rewatch tonight since I'm exhausted from a busy weekend (incl LA Pride today!) but I'm really excited to revisit this one. I don't think I appreciated it enough the first time I watched it, I was surprised how much it stuck with me afterward. I think the concept for this movie is just so fucking cool

Does anyone else have any weird sorting methods? My collection is like 80% female artists so the male artists and the soundtracks are separate at the end. Also I have it alphabetized by artists' first names
