Not 100% done with the book, but I also feel as though he brushed on a lot of topics without fully diving into them. I def feel myself wishing for more detail in almost any chapter related to the albums, the band. but I still love it and whenever i have the book in my hands i can’t put it down.

No Bouquet is easily the best thing this band has done so if the new album hits as hard as that does, count me in! i think the last two albums are fine, but I didn’t really understand why they pivoted as hard as they did, and then the lack of promotion/touring for the albums just made them feel a bit lacking in the end for me.

i love the pit pass idea! if i had attended more of the events last year i would have 1000% jumped on it… but by the end of each day i was so exhausted, it would have taken something stupid to get me to go out after the fest. i’m not gonna be attending this show or either of the wednesday shows, so the pass doesn’t feel super worth it for me this year already. but i really do love that they’re offering the passes.

this one didn’t do anything for me either, to be fair. feels like no real in demand artist to pull you in. not that it really matters for FF, but def a letdown compared to the preshow we got last year at workplay.

this lineup is such a good recovery from how bad last year’s list was. great lineup. might have to get tickets.

I appreciate your deeper insight here. I think I am personally OK with Larkin’s comments because I do feel as though Yzerman failed him this season starting with the opening move of the offseason, and I def think Larkin has made several comments in the past that have been more on par with what you wanted from him this time around. I also do see a trend of him being mopey within these interviews starting from when Bertuzzi was traded away. I chalk it up to being emotional, but I think he is def dropping tidbits that could have been better kept private in his end of season meeting within the org for sure. and it only adds a clip for online media to pull and create more controversy about. i could go on and on about my distaste for how the overall rebuild has gone in Detroit. it is endlessly frustrating to watch other teams acquire guys via free agency, trade, or waiver wire and then flip them later for a 1st round pick while Detroit continues to sign 80 free agents and then they end up walking or losing all value because they weren’t good to begin with. the biggest concern i had going into Yzerman’s first year of major free agent signings (Chiarot, Copp headlining the group) was that they were gonna push themselves out of being lottery level bad, but would not push themselves up to playoff level. unfortunately, that is exactly what has happened, but somehow it’s even worse because Yzerman refuses to take a stand one way or another at the deadline. it’s def the most important offseason for Yzerman here. I feel like he has cap space to reformat the roster and this is the year he really has a good opportunity to get creative and push them to the next level. but i just don’t know if they have enough elite talent on the roster for it to matter.

Tampa fucked the market from the start of this deadline. You have players like Debrincat saying they were starting to gel under Todd, and didn’t feel like they needed to just add at the time. Which based on prices, there wasn’t a move to make. I don’t agree with the comparisons to other players. If Larkin wasn’t from Michigan he would’ve requested a trade by now. I think those ties and comfort here is why he hasn’t left. And I don’t blame him from being frustrated, but the moping and deflecting gets tiresome. He’s a good player, but doesn’t seem like a good leader. you’re the captain of the team. When players are complaining that help didn’t arrive during a deadline, you would think the captain would step up and say hey, we need to do our part to prove we can add in that scenario. Instead we started sliding and losing showing no fight. He can be frustrated, but it starts with him a lot of times, and when we start those losing streaks, he’s nowhere to be found. And I’m not defending Yzerman, he’s done a good awful job. Like, if it was any other GM they’d be canned by now. I’m sick of it with him and he needs to show he understands free agency and pro scouting because he’s failed miserably in that aspect. He’s a good scout and has a good draft record. But everything else has been awful.

Still pissed we traded showers and norby for Trevor fucking rogers elias should be in charge of building teams up and then be relieved of his duties as soon as the team wants to translate the talent pipeline into wins
