im pretty bummed by their offseason too! I just don’t really get the decision making of having the worst defense in the NFL besides Carolina and not making any notable moves to improve it besides trading up to take an elite corner and then not primarily utilizing him there. I also think Coen is a biiiiiiiig risk of being a good OC who stinks at the HC responsibilities, and I need to see it before I believe in what they’re selling

Tbh I think the Panthers still look pretty bad on paper. Hopefully Bryce is taking that step forward, but otherwise, the OL is the strength of that team and it’s banged up already and they only have 4-5 players beyond the OL (Chuba, McMillan, Brown, Horn, Moehrig) who definitely start on most teams I’d be pretty bummed to take a week 1 L to the Panthers before any sort of potential breakout is actually confirmed

This is a test. Jags should be further along than the Panthers and absolutely SON them even if Bryce Young does some cool shit in the 4th quarter and makes it a game. Theres too much talent on the roster for us to repeat how fucking sorry we were last year, it was the worst I’ve ever seen a decent Jaguars roster perform since like 2000. Trevor Lawrence even just going back to where he was in year 2, that ALONE would be enough to win a few more games lol and that’s 100% what we hired Coen for. If the game is too close or if we look dumb and bad and stupid and we lose, im already worried about whether this coaching staff has what it takes lol

ranking in September is fun, but I think it’s silly that the preseason poll carries as much anchoring power as it does this early on. Teams should fly up and down the ranks as 1 week of data turns to 1 month of data, and even then, most teams have only played 0-1 real games at the 1 month mark when else am I going to have the opportunity to call South Florida a top 15 team??

A bummer of a performance but not gonna overreact. We knew it'd be a tough one and if that's the worst it looks all year we can make this season work. Sarkisian needs to help Arch be more comfortable and Arch needs to take what he gets and not force it. Both picks were bad but there were a couple more plays that could've been even worse picks and that comes from staring dudes down and not actually reading the field+wanting to play hero ball. Defense looks great outside of Malik per usual. Special teams is incredible.
