    Seahawks select Armand Membou, OT, Mizzou Seahawks badly need interior OL help, but Schneider refuses to draft OGs early so they take a guy who can play outside too and try to figure out who fits where later Browns select Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall There isn’t a good consolation prize to losing Myles Garrett, but if there’s a draft class to have to do it after the first couple picks, this is the one

    Colts select Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M Warren and Malaki Starks are easily the two most mocked players to IND, but I refuse to believe that Ballard is going to do anything other than build the trenches in some capacity with this pick. Stewart looks like he’ll check off all the athleticism boxes the Colts look for in an edge rusher, IND had a position coach work with Stewart at the Senior Bowl so they’ll have had extra time with him, and if they like what they saw, it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see him in Indy here

    This feels like the start of the part of the draft where Garrett makes most sense if any of Chicago, SF, or ATL want to bite on the price of 1+2+future picks that don’t matter for this or need to be negotiated

    I’m of the opinion that every team, and especially every team without a star QB, should have at least one lotto ticket rookie contract QB on their roster in the off chance you hit on getting a Dak Prescott or a Brock Purdy and this class seems fine enough for that at least

    that’s fair. Ultimately, I think any strategy other than “acquire someone like Mahomes, Lamar, Allen, etc or find the next one” is a losing long-term strategy, but that’s not super helpful considering that the Giants need a player behind center next season and none of these veteran options are that

    idk if it works, but I personally like it a lot if the price is something reasonable I wouldn’t want this regime drafting another QB and then getting fired the following offseason when it doesn’t immediately come together, and you gotta do something to try to win with the Burns / Lawrence / Nabers core before they get either old or walk for nothing like McKinney and Saquon did it’s extra good if it means you get to add whichever of Carter and Hunter falls to 3 to add another stud to that core. And extra extra good if Hunter is playing any meaningful time at WR so that you have a competent QB to develop him

    A 2026 1 feels like a potential sweet spot for Stafford. Giants are presumably taking him thinking they’ll be good (or at least better) next year and Rams would be playing the long game anyways

    it’s very possible - I wonder if it’s around lingering injury concern by front offices (may actually cause a drop) or just not being top of mind because of an injury (probably just a news cycle thing moreso than a true “issue”)

    Will Johnson narrative is really interesting to me. Brugler has him #13 on his big board and Jeremiah’s 1.0 mock had him at #15. The people who are best sourced seem to be signaling that he isn’t viewed as the top 5 pick blue chipper that he was assumed to be at the start of the season. Maybe that’ll bounce back if he has a great combine
