Our alt-rock station here in KC used to be great at playing new bands. Now it’s basically a classic alternative station that plays “Californication” five times a day. We do have one cool independent station but it can be a little too all over the place or crunchy for my taste. But I still enjoy listening to the radio.

There’s cool features and dumb ones, but from a marketing perspective in streaming land it’s a smart move, im down

I like features because, besides duets being awesome and some features transforming a song, I also think it adds an element of brotherhood to a particular scene. I've noticed a bunch of small-time post-grunge bands like Art Of Dying, The Veer Union, and Adelitas Way doing that in recent years, and I think it's nice that they're all making songs together.

Best features imo are the more subtle ones like Anthony Green on Keepsake by B&C just doing backing vocals. You wouldn't really know its him unless you were told or saw his name in the track list. I tend to not like it when a feature is just an extra verse that gets slapped 2/3 of the way into a song.

So I'm listening to YOTBR, and honestly, I'm totally cool with it front to back. As time tends to do, I like the stuff I like more, and feel less strong about stuff that's bothered me in the past, especially having added context that Afterman and Vaxis will come afterwards and get back on track closer to what I personally want Coheed to sound like. I could probably say the same for TCBTS.

I'm sure this has been rehashed in this thread before, but YOTBR is just another Joe Barresi muddy production casualty. Can't stand most of his work other than with Tool, who he mysteriously finds the competence to mix reasonably well. Just Juggernaut alone, it's easy to imagine how great it could be if produced exactly like GA1 or something.

My grocery store is advertising the thousands of prices they’ve lowered. So many of the things I buy regularly have gone up. I’m now saving $0.50 on broccoli, but paying $1.60 more for chicken nuggets. Woohoo!

The X Files is great for that too. I was surprised to see a young Jack Black and Ryan Reynolds among others the first time I watched.

I don't know how unpopular it is, but I get annoyed when someone refers to an actor in a small role before they were famous as a cameo. That isn't a cameo; a cameo is a surprise small appearance by a famous actor. It is meant to be a surprise; no one said oh look who it is when Jonah Hill showed up for two minutes in the 40 Year Old Virgin.

Florida has horrible bike and pedestrian infrastructure and a lot of the time there’s nowhere for them to be that’s fully safe from accidental mishaps Also Florida drivers are on meth or something they do the dumbest fucking shit. In my experience living places, the northeast and Atlanta have aggressive drivers but those drivers know what they’re doing and where their car will fit - so yeah, 60% of them are dicks but you’re not gonna die if someone cuts you off. Florida drivers will literally cause an accident simply changing lanes with a car directly next to them like morons. I have had two cars totaled in FL that way.

The more I listen to this the more I absolutely love it. Heart of Sedona just hits for me. Been listening to this a lot on walks and there’s just something about that solitude with the record that is fantastic. I’m also a sucker for a pedal steel so that’s a plus. Just grateful to have Dustin continue to release solo material- one of my absolute favorite songwriters. Love being able to watch his songwriting journey unfold.

All the singles have been what I’m dreading this band would turn into. Young Enough and Guppy are fantastic. If that’s where it ends for me then oh well. I’m sure they will grow their fan base and they deserve it.
