Since shows are still out of the question here for the foreseeable future, I was hoping a tour would coincide with some new music. Since they’re using the Two Hands artwork for this poster I’m guessing we’re not quite there yet.

I never know which projects of his to start with but the handful of singles I’ve heard are all incredible.

Don't know where else to post but just saying that after a week with it the Cake Pop record totally rules - Dylan doesn't miss

Along with Cassavetes, it basically feels like the foundational text for Sundance-style American "indies" - although yes, much better than most of those films, in my opinion. It's been 7-8 years since I saw it, so I'm not sure how it would hold up for me, but I was a massive fan at the time.

    1. The Ceremony 2. McCabe and Mrs. Miller 3. A New Leaf additional shouts to: Mandara, A Touch of Zen, Wake in Fright, Dirty Harry, and Throw Away Your Books, Rally in the Streets. After seeing it 3 times, WR still leaves me baffled, but I think I am coming around to it after initially disliking it strongly. This is probably the weakest overall year for me so far.

Hard to say at this point as it's been a few years but I remember just finding it largely unpleasant and tedious to sit through. Which is not generally a problem because I watch quite a bit of long and/or slow cinema. It could have just been a matter of watching it at the wrong time/place. I'll make a note of Santa Sangre if I ever feel like diving in again haha.

Admittedly, it's inflated because I watch quite a lot of short films too + the hundreds of films watched across 4 years of Cinema Studies undergrad + being at home all day every day for some 14 months now. It's also just what I like to spend my free time doing lol

Wish I liked Jodorowsky more. El Topo was solid but I couldn’t stand The Holy Mountain. After that one I’ve hesitated to explore more.

I haven’t really had that issue because I’ve basically had Letterboxd the entire time I’ve been watching movies “seriously.” End of this year and I’ll have a whole decade logged lol. Also, 4886 / 322 this year lmfao
