So they called us all in to confirm there’s nothing more they can do for my dad and the focus is being shifted to end of life care and he’s being moved to a hospice facility. Shit sucks. I’m doing okay, I’d kinda mentally prepared for it already, but just wild how much this escalated so damn fast. Gonna watch the Celtics and have a drink and just try to process this shit.

The brilliant madness of hockey is just how quick it can suddenly be over. Literally blink and you miss it shit that sends you to the moon or has your heart fall out your ass. Basketball has that too, especially with where players are taking 3’s from but that immediate life or death can’t be rivaled in other sports like football for example (no matter how fast you are unless you’re on the 1 yard line it’s just literally gonna so much longer to get the points).
