I think he did call a timeout and was attempting to point out the clapping, because it’s been a problem in this game before. We should have been charged a timeout, but these refs were a joke. But I don’t think Kirby is foolish enough to think he could get away with a brazen lie with dozens of cameras watching his every move.

    I had the same thoughts on first watch, but watching a few times you can see that the auburn defense was clapping before the snap which deserves a penalty. Kirby never claimed he was clapping or saying he didn’t call a timeout, he was pointing out the Auburn clapping. The refs should have a charged a timeout, yes, but this was not Kirby cheating as the narrative is going.
