    Agree with the above, after a week of solid iPad usage I've re-wired my brain to the point where I just pulled my MacBook out for something and found myself repeatedly trying to touch the screen to do things

    I can’t work out how to post a photo but basically I followed the youtube video that was linked earlier on this page and set up multiple home screens for different focuses, and then took all apps off my ‘home’ screen and arranged the taskbar and widgets to mirror my MacBook, which fools my brain into thinking it’s a laptop not a tablet so I use it more like one with the magic keyboard, and then I have my quick shortcut buttons where I have my widgets and apps set up for work, creative, media consumption etc. Having a clean Home Screen is so much nicer and more relaxing to look at than the mess of apps you normally have on a tablet, and then I can just dial straight into what I want to do with it from there, be it use it like a laptop for work, or like a tablet for reading or watching videos

    Yeah I agree, I think this year has been a lot better than last year, there’s been some really great 90s influenced stuff and ‘twinkle’ (is that 4th wave?) albums as well, with new ones from Broken Record, Good Luck and Ben Quad still to come. It’s also true though that I just don’t listen to this genre as much as I used to.

    Jejune technically isn’t new, haha. Reissues of stuff from the 90s. Of the rest of what you’ve said you enjoyed, most of it I wouldn’t really even call emo. Based on this, I’d recommend albums from bleary eyed Roseville Cryogeyser Pop free (ep) Forty winks (ep)

    Finally put some effort into properly setting up my home screens on iPadOS26 and this might legitimately be a MacBook-killer for me. It seems the only thing I regularly do that I can’t on iPad is manually upload albums to Apple Music.
