no ethical consumption under capitalism for sure but there are very easy boycotts to keep in mind while still taking care of your own mental health

okay but like do you guys really not give a shit what your money is funding when you're buying (and double dipping???) these microsoft games? like is that really what your morals have come to? like it's not fun being the one to wag my finger, it makes me feel like an insane person because seemingly everyone's perfectly happy posting about Game Pass and Forza and Gears... like have you guys gotten this callous? like at this point do you support the genocide or do you just not give a fuck because your entertainment is more important to you?

This stupid fucking insurance lady that I’ve been dealing with for my car has asked me 3 times where the repair estimate is and each time I’ve said that my appointment isn’t until tomorrow. She just texted me again like 15 minutes ago asking the same thing. You fool. You absolute dumbass. You insist on communicating through text message, and one of the benefits of texting is conversation history!

Vena Sera is my favorite as well. I feel like I'm in the vast minority with that being my favorite album haha. Good to see I'm not alone.

I just saw these guys for the first time ever after years of wanting to but never being able to make it and it was so fucking good, they sounded amazing, the visuals were sick and the setlist was pretty much perfect for a first time show (although I would have preferred something like The Running Free over the random Mr. Brightside cover lol)

La Gargola is underrated. I like Hats and it's held up well over time but remember feeling like it was a bit muted for them when it came out and Gargola starting with the 1-2 punch of Ouija Board and An Island was like getting kicked in the face Choking Game is also mad underrated, maybe their best song period

Sci-Fi is probably my favorite, if I had to pick one. The entire UFO/alien aesthetic and vibe on that record was just always so cool to me. I saw them headline on that tour and it was great - tons of little digital flourishes and taped interludes that made the whole vibe atmospheric and a little creepy.

Hats is actually one of my favorite albums from them. My least favorite is La Gargola.

maybe with the right deck? we had a tough time bc the ones we used weren't aggressive enough. so far i've only tried it the one time tho

That's the way to do it. I played casual magic for years before setting foot into an event. Even then, I only did that for a few years. How's the Jafar thing? Doable solo or nah?

i play MtG and Lorcana with friends, Commander this Thursday will actually be the first time i play at any event. my friends don't have Lorcana tho so they use my decks and we play against each other or Ursula/Jafar. in that sense, introducing rotation doesn't necessarily affect me personally, but a set that's mostly reprints equals less new princesses to acquire, that's all. aside from princesses i'm more interested in getting cards from my favorite properties rather than just good cards in general, so my decks aren't really optimized

I feel like you'd get a different answer if you asked most people their favorite album. For me, I don't think they've come close to topping Vena Sera. This Type of Thinking and Wonder What's Next are both pretty perfect from start to finish. I actually think Sci-Fi Crimes and Hats Off to the Bull is my least favorite two album stretch.

it's the hotness right now, but yeah the premise didn't seem too appealing to me. Seems kind of overwhelming tbh but I guess when you brand it as an open world boardgame that's part of it Every months I contemplate jumping back in. Now that rotation happened and reprints are now a thing I may consider it. Do you play just for fun at the kitchen table or actually attend events?

my friend convinced me to join them at a card shop for some Commander in a couple of days, we'll see how it goes. not used to playing ppl i don't know. i've been working on a monowhite angel deck and a white-black vampire deck next set of Lorcana has only 33 new cards and the rest are reprints; the first four sets are being rotated out of the new format. i've been collecting all the Princesses (and Anna and Elsa) but i think i'll sit this one out i did get both of the co-op boss fight modes so far, and i've made four themed decks: princesses, Frozen, Big Hero 6, and Encanto. the Jafar boss was more difficult than Ursula but that might've just been a bad match-up
