I come here humbly asking for advice, which I realize is funny considering it's a strategic and competitive game: Would you guys switch out a first pick you loved for a second pick if the first one was from an album that had been used twice before in the league? Is that something other people even care about?

Some recent games I have played: Disco Elysium: One of the greatest games I have ever played. It has been a long time since I couldn't stop thinking about the plot of a game while I was at work or doing other things. Fallout 4: I kept putting this one off because of how critical the New Vegas side of the series fandom is, and they were pretty much right. It was just constant dungeon crawling and shooting. It is not a bad game if that is what you want, but the thing that makes me play New Vegas over and over is how many ways you can approach things. Sometimes I would look up missions and find out solutions I never even thought of, but in Fallout 4 you have to shoot the bad guys. Baldur's Gate: I put it on the easiest difficulty so that you cannot die in battle because I really just wanted to run through the story before inevitably getting to the newer game. I played a couple of CRPG's as a kid, mostly Age of Empires and Command and Conquer, but I just don't have the time or mental energy to learn the depths of some of these older games. I do think it is fascinating that games have gotten simpler in interface as the audience has gotten older and ostensibly more intelligent. Meanwhile, at 10 or 11 years old we would be dropped into these dense games and the booklets were as thick as dictionaries. Titanfall 2: I have no interest in multiplayer so I played the brief campaign, and it felt so tactile and like you were really there. Ninja Gaiden II (NES one): Could the people who made these games even beat them?

That's what made this round so tough to vote for - you're kind of distributing your votes between songs you like and lyrics you don't, lol. Feel like most of these songs fell into one of those two (if not both) categories, so my points were pretty spread out.

This round is hard to vote for for me because all the songs I actually like have, like, fine lyrics imo?

A lot of Kendrick fans wil disagree but really if you look at rap as a whole then yeah they are at least broadly in the same category

So the only hip hop I enjoy is Kendrick and j Cole. Is it safe to put them in a similar category? I don't know what that category would be I just hear a lot of similarities.

Blink is the only band I've consistently listened to since 1998, they're my favorite band so I'm very biased. One more time is a pure nostalgia kick, that's all it is. The references to their personal tragedies, lyrics from old songs sneaking in, regretting lost time...I love it. And then the music video, chefs kiss. But it's solely because it takes me back to "simpler" times and it also makes me confront the finality of the band I love. Outside of that context, I don't see how anyone could like that song or even the new album. It's not to make new fans, it's a farewell ballad. Now I'm depressed lol.

Totally agree! I just was trying to help with people who can't think of something because they don't hate the music of songs they like, ya know?

  33. The Lucky Moose replied to the thread The Chorus.fm Music League Thread.

Right I did understand that, but I feel like loving the song but hating the lyrics is the 100% version of that lol

just wanted to quickly do a little "read the prompt" reminder. I know everything is up to interpretation, but I did try with these to make it clear that it's songs you LIKE the music or lyrics better, not neccesarily that something is BAD
