    For me it's: X-Men (I'm a Cyclops fanboy, what can I say) > Marauders > Fallen Angels > New Mutants > Excalibur > X-Force

Radiohead is one of those bands where I honestly couldn't tell you which songs were singles with the exception of Creep.

Inclined to give it to Motion Picture. Even if it's maybe not their best, it's definitely my favorite

How much does it really matter what the song was written for if you like it?

I actually think the kick really highlights how well the movie balances its dark comedy and the dark tone. How nonchalant the kick was honestly was really funny, but the second she smashes her head on the wall it was an "oh fuck" moment.

On the one hand, Disney's billion dollar franchises encroaching on more territory where other kinds of films can find an audience isn't good. On the other hand, I'd rather see a Marvel or a Star War that I enjoy get honored for being good at what it was going for than see another Green Book win. The whole "popular films" idea sounded bad to me, but that general idea of having best pictures w/in multiple categories would honestly probably be dope if done right.

I mean, is RDJ getting a best supporting actor nod anymore discrediting of the Oscars than Green Book actually winning best picture or Bohemian winning best editing?

That sequence is a fantasy. It’s a fantasy built on, even after all he’s been through, the idea of class mobility and moving up to the elite is inescapable in the current system. Then, cutting away from the fantasy to see him in the dark, in the basement, it’s clear he knows it’s a fantasy. It’s not reinforcing the ideal: it’s painting how tragic it is. I don’t think a movie needs to propose an alternative to the system it’s critiquing to say something powerful and human about the system it’s critiquing. This movie is a powerful tragedy about the system it’s critiquing.

I love Endgame, but the only justification for Oscar noms outside of technical awards I could see is a pseudo-"lifetime" award. Like RDJ getting it more for his performance as Tony over the last 11 years. But there have been so many good performances this year that I can't fathom it going to any of the performances in Endgame

This took Hello Brooklyn from a song I couldn't stand to one I could at least kind of vibe with, which might be the biggest achievement they could've hoped for with this

I think every track on here is an improvement over the original except maybe Lost In Stereo. The shouts on the new version are kind of grating

Walls is one of my favorite ATL songs. I wish I was going to one of the anniversary shows just to hear that.

There’s no consensus site wide but I’d argue there are a handful of “power users” that if you happen to disagree with what most of them think then it’s really difficult to have a discussion about it without people practically shitposting for likes. It’s why I typically don’t discuss my dissenting opinions as much here but rather read along with the threads.

To be fair the Chorus community tends to rally around certain hot takes and then act like it's the majority opinion pretty often
