Via VPN they do (AEW+ gets you all the weekly shows for, in my area, $7.99/mth...think it was 8.99 or 9.99 when I was in DC?). And it gets you PPV discounts (currently $19.99 instead of $24.99...used to be $16 v $20). But, again, requires VPN, which is a kind of annoying extra step. Loving MAX for the weekly shows cause I hated doing VPN + Chromecast off my laptop every time, and now its just native. I think I wouldnt blink at $30/ppv (or hell, even $40/ppv but with PPV packs at like $30 via preorder) just to not need to think about a VPN again

i can't remember if s1 of the show covered it specifically, but the fireflies plan was that the cordyceps in her brain was what they had to extract to make the cure, not her blood. She was guaranteed to die during surgery, but the cure was not guaranteed to work like you pointed out and that Joel should have/could have mentioned to her.

These are great questions, and part of the reason why I have never been supportive of the cure (even if it might have been possible). The logistics of a cure are completely different than in a functioning society. Joel was selfish, but I still agree with his decision.

If AEW had their own thing similar to WWE streaming I’d sign up in a heartbeat and pay money and probably still never watch. But they’d get my money if they did it

Also, let’s say they did make a cure from her blood… would she be enough to cure the entire world? Like what happens when she dies and there’s no more blood? New people start getting infected, etc. Or even logistics of administering that cure.

Two things I think Joel could have said to make things slightly better… could’ve have told Matrix dude that loving his wife would be to keep her safe and that she’d do the same. Could’ve told Ellie that there was no guarantee a cure would work. And she’d die for nothing if it didn’t
