I have it on good authority* that John’s surgery went well and he might be back at home recovering now *=we had VIP tickets to tonight’s Philly show so I asked Adam and Shaun if they had any news and if it went well. Adam said he had some pain at first but was doing much better and probably heading home today. So great news there. Shaun told us one of the guys in Bayside apparently had the same surgery haha I unfortunately bought the tickets before I had my fall semester schedule for my masters classes so I pretty much had to leave immediately after the meet and greet and am missing the show :tear:. My wife stayed at the show with her friend who is also a big TBS fan so at least they’re getting to see Fred. This woulda been my first time seeing Fred TBS and my first time seeing Coheed boo

To your first point, I know people (myself included) have wondered why John’s singing also hasn’t been great over the last couple of years, and this could explain why. Yeah your throat/vocal cords could get strained after a while and humid environments sure don’t help, but if you’re not fully able to engage your core, back muscles/spine and/or neck to sing (especially higher notes), you’re fucked.

Or we could just all get a win and have John and Fred.

Still surprised this is a thing, imagine if these people would put as much energy into supporting... you know... LGBTQIA+ musicians who are actually out and proud?

Delighted for them, congratulations Taylor and Travis! Was thinking about how upset the Gaylors must be this week to which I say, lmfao, good. The sexuality of albeit one of the most visible people on planet Earth is still no business but her own, and the parasocial nature of some pockets of her fans is unhinged. I don't follow any of that absolute nonsense but I've been accosted with it over the years.

Haven't really listened to these new songs much because it's kind of annoying trying to play in the car when every song is separated into a different single in Apple Music instead of a collection of tracks to play through. I try to be hands-free and use voice commands... I don't want to be scrolling between each single while driving But anyways, just listened to Glum for the first time and it's so good

I'm kind of surprised "Manchild" didn't just run the table on the pop charts all summer, considering the very weak competition.

Extremely curious to see if this album connects in a big way. It's a week away and I feel like no one knows its only a week away. Going into the last album she had two mega hits, but not Manchild is out of the Top 10. I still think it's going to easily top the charts, but it feels very muted compared to last year, I just find it interesting
