Is it fair to say the reaction to the surprise double album is probably not what she hoped? I’m sure it will work for goosing the playcounts and payout, but I have to imagine the relatively negative reaction to the length is a disappointment to her. Much different than w Midnights 3AM, at least in how I’m perceiving the reception.

Being in a Taylor mood but also not that excited to dig into something mostly unfamiliar, I skipped around Midnights this morning and I gotta say while it's not the best whole album in her catalogue, I think that has kind of led people to underrate how good the best stuff on it is. Top 5 on midnights is right there with anything else she's made.

I’m interested to see what her reaction to the reaction is. Midnights wasn’t incredibly critically acclaimed, but Anti Hero’s incredible success and the eras tour made it one of her most successful releases ever. Feels like this one is trending to absolutely insane first week sales numbers and then potentially being forgotten about quickly - the reaction seems pretty muted so far and the surprise release more divisive than the 3am edition.

There's an ice cream flavor I see from time to time called "Graham Central Station," that's graham cracker based ice cream with graham cracker swirl - it's fucking INCREDIBLE, but the place that made it best sold a few years ago and I've yet to fully find a replacement :(
