Nope is such a banger, so many little references that I didn’t notice even after seeing it like three times near perfect horror movie

I cannot share who yet because it is not a done-deal but I stepped into Programming for the Horror Fest this year and did my first celeb outreach and immediately got an interested response, so that's encouraging :)

I hope our Cinemark 1) gets Together and 2) has it long enough that I can catch it with Weapons. Having a baby makes doing a double-feature hard, but that one would be worth it if I could make a deal with my wife.

The only update I read about was that they r going old school when it comes to recording together onto analogue tape for the next album and they been doing this for a while in between tours so I am guessing maybe the album will be released late 2025 or early 2026!

been feeling so scatter-brained lately. within the past few weeks, i've 1) locked myself out of my car (my dad had a spare key), 2) forgotten my phone in a public restroom (i got it back), 3) gotten a flat tire (my dad was able to pump it and we got it patched), 4) gotten another flat tire (the same tire! my dad was able to put in the spare tire). i'm so grateful i'm able to rely on my dad, but liek, i'm in my fucking 30s, shouldn't i be more independent by now? i keep forgetting to renew my passport, and if i don't do it within the next few days, i won't be able to do it online and will have to send my old one in by mail with the application. i almost finished it months ago and all i needed was the picture and i. just. can't. and it's not even like i'm changing my gender marker or anything. is this what they call executive dysfunction? i've been constantly on the phone scheduling various doctor's appointments for my mom and grandpa. i hate talking on the phone. and i'm also the one taking my grandpa to these appointments (and sometimes my mom). i hate going to see the doctor. so whenever i have to schedule something for myself i just keep putting it off. i need to take better care of myself but i'm just so tired of waiting rooms and doctors' offices. a few of my friends had ppl close to them die recently, some of whom were close to my grandpa's age. he's doing well but i can't help but worry. and i feel bad even thinking about that, like, making it about me. i'm probably going to a funeral tomorrow so i can be there for my friend. i want to be supportive even when my own life feels like such a mess. there's Together early screenings tonight (it's for sure not gonna be surprise Pete Davidson) but i don't think i'm in the right mood.

I'd venture a guess you've at least taken, I dunno, a high school history class? So surely you know some people probably should be bullied for having certain political opinions? Can you think of a few that when you look back through time you go, "oh shit, you know what the lynching opinions were pretty bad?" or are you making an argument that literally zero political opinions are bad and worth fighting against? Let's at least set the stage. Once again, weird audience to keep trying to pin this democrat thing on, most of us pretty vocally do not like democrats? And you keep trying to make an argument that it's hypocritical to say "I believe in inclusion for all races, genders, etc." and then reject the people stating they want to harm those people as though their racist inclusion was ever on the table? This is ridiculous logic. Inclusion doesn’t require making space for people who are actively hostile to the principles of equality and human dignity. It’s not hypocrisy to draw a line at racism, sexism, or hate --* it’s consistent with the very values of inclusion and empathy! * I wrote this fuck gpt for stealing my em dashes.

How does it make any sense to be empathetic towards someone who isn't empathetic themselves and puts their own personal and financial self-interest over the safety and well-being of millions of vulnerable people? Why should we include someone that wants to exclude and exploit others? We shouldn't tolerate intolerance.

It’s insane to imagine that after all he gave to the music world, his final gift was helping raise $190 million for charity. What a remarkable exit.
