Randall’s name isn’t Randall? How am I to know what’s real and what’s not now?

I keep listening to The 1975 (NOACF) —>Me & You Together Song in sequential order and I gotta say this band is putting out arguably the best work of their entire careers right now. Frail is a god-tier song and I don’t think I quite realized that until just now

I’ve seen them four times now and they’ve played Me at three of the shows. Matty loves that song so I doubt it’ll ever become a deep cut, but it does seem that they took a break from it during the Brief Inquiry cycle

Descensus has a ton of great songs though. I’m just not into the production/mix of that album

I still think The Amulet is fantastic and their best since BSN. Also think that album, sonically, is the best work that Yip has done with them yet. It sounds far better than Descensus.

Maybe the one additional game would be playing a team from the opposite conference (from a division that you’re not already playing) that finished in the same spot within their division as your team did and the league would figure out some way to rotate things around

Even better, off a trade, he has no dead money for the Lions. They get him in 2020 at $5.5mil, and in 2021 he's a $4mil base salary + $5mil roster bonus. Might even be able to convince Gurley to take that 2021 roster bonus as a signing bonus upfront so cutting him in 2021 gets even easier. Weirdly, I think they are one of the few teams that saw the cap explosion coming (and continuing it seems with this new CBA), so they took the biggest risk. The Gurley deal is backfiring for sure...its not clear their other deals are though. By the time they should be completely screwed (2022), the cap might be $30+ million higher and thats just the rounding error of Goff's deal.

Harris and Okudah would be nice. Coleman is fairly solid too.

The thing that sucks about the idea of them trading Woods is that he's arguably their best WR and has a good rapport with Goff. Cooks is the guy they should try to get rid of, but, even if they traded him, they're still tied to a bunch of dead money for him. That Gurley trade is interesting though. If I'm the Lions, I'd be more excited for the draft picks than Gurley because those picks could both be top 50 picks. Cutting Gurley becomes MUCH more stomachable in 2021 ($8.4M in dead money, $4.8M saved) so it's not necessarily a bad idea. I think the Rams cap situation right now is honestly fascinating. They are a great example of what not to do as a GM.

There's a way for them to swing it without being completely screwed, but, trading for Slay is NOT that. They can find the cap space to do it, for sure, but the end game of it is just the inevitable cap hell of 2021 and 2022. Rams have $23mil in cap space according to Spotrac, I can easily get them to ~$55-60mil in cap space while only trading Robert Woods off the team. But their ultimate approach only works if they replace a couple of their really pricy guys with young talent, and having no 1sts in 2020 + 2021, plus no 5th this year and no 4th next year already makes that hard. Only possible version of a trade I can imagine is a 2020 2nd and 2021 2nd + Todd Gurley for Slay (where the Rams eat his roster bonus money). I can see why the Lions might accept that, and also why that would be pretty far from the best offer they'd get.
