Let's be honest. Have Nintendo's business practices ever made sense? As an idiot who bought a WiiU, I can confirm that this is pretty standard for them.

They need to re-press all of their albums. I've been hunting for a copy of their self-titled album for months and it never pops up anywhere. I did just buy a copy of their split with Prawn, which is excellent.

I got a new record player (my first one ever!). One of the first things I ordered is a first original pressing of Pneuma in translucent deep blue from ebay. Shelled out some cash for it but it's worth it.

I am really enjoying Paper Mario so far. I've never played any of the previous Paper Mario games, but I enjoy that it motivates you to try to do the whole "completionist" thing by keeping track of the percentages of Toads saved, holes fixed, etc.

Started Origami King today. It's so relaxing just running around filling in holes in the ground and trying to find all the hidden stuff. Really enjoying the game so far. The combat is just okay.

it absolutely sucks. For everyone. This has nothing to do with oUr RiGhTs being taken away. It’s about human decency and this shit won’t go away unless we ALL take the necessary steps. “Normal” won’t exist otherwise and I want to scream that everyday. We live in a very rural area while my husband was getting the mail the other day, Mrs. I believe my microwave is spying on me” was in there. He stood outside the doorway waiting his turn and she came out and was like ‘oh don’t tell me you’re afraid of Covid?” All snarky. He basically replied with “I’m just waiting my turn. And fuck off cause if I give pass it onto my wife she’ll die.“ I’m having a breakdown today just because of not working, seeing coworkers get the new position that I’ve been trying for (and I’m 100% more qualified. I’m Genuinely happy for her but am pissed at the leadership), I’m tired of not being able to go anywhere. There is literally no end in sight here. Sorry for hijacking your post with my ramblings but fuck.

I’ll start this by being 100% honest. I’ve had to rely on police to keep me safe while working as an EMT and I have a really good relationship with a few of the cops I see on the regular. But..there are a few times that having them be atleast emergency medical responders would have been SO helpful. One situation in particular. This is at 2am mind you. My husband was my partner that night. We get called for an 80-something year old male with difficulty breathing. Before we got there, were updated that CPR was in progress. We get out and there’s already a deputy there and NO ONE IS DOING CPR. I don’t believe that the outcome would have been different but imagine two people doing cpr, trying to get an airway secured, trying to get the monitor up and going. That extra set of hands would be ideal. So we have the deputy call the next level up ambulance to meet them on the way to the ER to pick up paramedics. He steps outside to make the call. We meet this second ambulance in the middle of the road and the medics have no idea what we need because apparently, the cop informed no one that cpr was actually in progress. ‍

It might help if they gave police basic medical education. It's very easy to go into hypoxia when you're lying prone like that. Just because you can speak doesn't mean you aren't suffocating to death. Of course, they probably know that and don't care.
