It’s worth watching. Knowing you played, the ratings dip is related to the major death for the most part. Some losers were dinging it online, like on IMDb and such, because they don’t think Bella Ramsey is attractive (who cares) and also Ellie and Dina’s relationship stuff. There are some changes but I really don’t think they were that detrimental to the quality. Some complaints because they softened Ellie a bit but I personally understand the change. Isabela Merced as Dina was fantastic. There is also an episode that gave Long, Long Time from season 1 a run for its money.

I watched the first episode of season 2 and then stopped. Since then, I’ve tried to avoid show-specific spoilers but some headlines did slip through about the show’s ratings and possibly quality dipping hard. Can someone provide show-specific spoiler-free insight on season 2 quality/whether it’s worth re-prioritizing (been spending all my free time on video games and not in mood for serious TV lately)? I really liked season 1 and love both games.

Some cool parts but Mike White may have gone a little too inside his own silly mind for this season.

Thank you for clarifying that it’s the Scottish newspaper.

Episode 3 is stakier.

Saw episode 1 of Ironheart. It was OK! Reminds me a bit of the young adult/less stakes-y tone of Ms. Marvel.

Correction: Art Alexakis came out and played the song with Lit who opened for Sugar Ray. Here’s the video: [MEDIA]

A year or two pre-pandemic, I saw Sugar Ray at this tiny venue in Pasadena California. Towards the end of the show, Art Alexakis from Everclear comes out from the wings of the stage and they announced that he’s gonna help sing a Sugar Ray song. Everyone is excited and clapping and the sugar ray guitarist pulls this exact same move as this kid at the Green Day concert and starts playing the opening riff to Santa Monica and it could’ve been a well acted bit, but Art Alexakis looked immediately uncomfortable and he told him to stop. Lol.

Fun fact re: glasses and technology. I have a core memory of being told in a class that people who wear glasses are technically androids if you go by theories/philosophies dealing with android identity.

I was poking fun at the other post asking if we would also be against other forms of benign digital tools/tech.

If you hate AI, do you also hate the driver who uses GPS? The man who dons spectacles so that he may see the world?

The permanent shame that came from letting my guard down and trying Kill Tony for a few weeks in 2015 has prevented me from trying any of the other dirtbag/edgy podcasts across all ends of the political and social spectrums. I’m here now in 2025 sincerely enjoying the new Wayne Brady improv podcast and hate-listening to Never Not Funny’s tepid hot takes, fully oblivious to 99% of whatever post-Cumtown extended universe folks are listening to.
