Bleacher's s/t is their best album and I'm shocked that I'm saying that - grown to really love that record. Certainly going to keep spinning it through the summer too

I laugh at the the people who say "We need someone to save us from boring, samey Jack Antonoff!" and then point to Aaron Dessner as the man for the job. I like Dessner's "thing" a lot, but he's way more of a one-trick pony.

Jack antonoff is such a good producer and people would view him much more favorably if they admitted what they don’t like about “him” is really just artists bringing mid material to the table

Yeah, this was my question - as it makes it confusing as to what the actual release is. What is TTPD? Is it the anthology version? Or the first half…it just makes the rollout unnecessarily confusing.

People dunk on Jack a lot, but he really does some really strong work on this album IMO. Between this and the Bleachers album, I'm back in on him in a way I didn't totally expect this year.

"I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" is such a phenomenal song. The production is fucking insane, the Bleachers-esque background dialouge stuff is very cool. The "1, 2, 3, 4" is my favorite little detail so far. The way the song shifts and builds, how she sings over the different parts, it all comes together perfectly

"I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" is cool. I wonder if there actually is some Blue Nile influence on these tracks. A lot of these driving synths seem like they could come from one of their records. More muddled and not as beautiful, but the core idea is there.

I think releasing album 2 as a stand alone vinyl is the most plausible options. Otherwise it would be a 4xLP, which just seems like a heavy lift for production purposes, especially given the 1 million copies of the first album that just got pressed.

Woah! Put that in your pocket for MWE next year. I'm pretty happy with how disc 1 works; could maybe lose a track or two. The second disc is nice, but it does feel pretty samey on my initial listens. I think that's what she's aiming for.

After listening to this all day and going over the lyrics I'm at the point where I can see this becoming my favourite Taylor Swift album. Feels like the definitive mix of the sounds she's been playing with on the last few albums with a lot of best most emotionally potent songs she's ever written. I love it more with every listen.

lol, I downloaded the album for offline play last night before going to bed, and just found out that there’s actually an entire second album’s worth of songs here??? The middle of the “main” album started pulling me in a bit more, and it’s promising to see someone say the bonus album feels more Dessner. But when I first saw that it’s actually thirty-one tracks, I kinda groaned. My friend who I always talk Taylor’s albums with texted me “happy release day”; I hope I have more good than bad to say to her later on, lol.
