It's usually about 3 years between each album, so I imagine there won't be a new full-length until 2026. They usually have a few one-off singles between each record though, so I'd be surprised if there's no new music at all this year.

Still going... Vaxis 1 is pretty damn great. Easily my favorite release since In Keeping Secrets. Vaxis 2 also good and has some fun new sounds for them that I dig. But didn't grab me as much as Vaxis1. Only the new album left! Been fun to catch up on a band that I used to love so much. Yeah pretty much a inspiration within the genre for years following that. I remember ordering my CD from Amazon UK not sure if it'd ever arrive and thinking I got a fake because all the interludes were listed as blank on the tracklist.

the one-two punch of Blind Side Sonny / Play The Poet is not something I expected from them, but I really think it's a fantastic section of the album and really cool to hear them play like that

For real. This is everything I’ve ever wanted in a band. I am happy they can create again. Childhood Eyes, and Hiding in the Light in particular, is easily one of my favorite songs since the pandemic hit.

Resurrecting this thread just to say that I’ve listened to this record a lot the last month or so in prep for Vaxis 3 to come out. And I can confidently state this is behind only GA1 and Afterman for me. Likely tied with IKS. The Ladders of Supremacy — Rise — Title track trifecta is absolutely peak Coheed.
