Sheesh!!! Love hearing Atom really putting his mark on this song. Dude is one of the best drummers in his scene and I’ve been waiting to hear him let loose in Alkaline Trio. Get these dudes back in the studio with Travis tomorrow for the follow up record.

This band just came at the right time for me. In the Ava doc from whisper David said the generation of kids didn’t have their own U2 and I always resonated with that. I stayed up until midnight to download whisper. I ran cross country in high school and college and I’ve got a pretty deep connection with the first couple of records and those fall runs. Going to do a discography run through next week. Funny enough, I was playing love one and 2 a bunch after Ilan played his first show, and then today AK3 dropped another single with Atom bringing those parts on the Toms no other drummer in his genre can do better bringing back a sprinkle of that early Ava magic. Peak stuff. Going to try to cobble together a playlist of a records worth of the best songs from love 1 2 and dream walker. I’ll report back.

It’s been fun over the years to revisit these and see how they hit me at different stages of life. I think the first two albums have aged well and are always fun to come back to. To me, their catalog still falls comfortably into three tiers: We Don’t Need to Whisper I-Empire Love Pt. 1 Lifeforms The Dream Walker Love Pt. 2

Nothing will compare to the memory I have of the interlude they did touring on I Empire. That drum part stays in my head forever and pretty much every time I get behind a drum set I rip through those two songs lmaooo.

I dig that take. Lifeforms is really good, I just have such a deep connection to the first two records

Been on a Love 1&2 kick this week. Been putting it on shuffle and skipping around. If you take the best of 1&2 there’s a really good album in there, if you take 1&2 and dream walker there’s a great album in there. Lifeforms is definitely their best since I Empire though. For me : I Empire Whisper Lifeforms LOVE 1&2 Dream Walker Will always love this band though the formula got a bit tired in the middle.

I still feel that way every time I pickup the iPad Pro without the Magic Keyboard attached. I’m going to go to an Apple Store to check out the air.

I really dig it. My wife has the 16 pro max and is upgrading because she works in marketing. Planning on scooping her phone. If I was going for a new phone I’d for sure go Orange. Forever in the alliance baby. Adidas did a collab way back white and orange long sleeve and the back said “rogue squadron” in simple black text where a jersey hit would be. It ruled.

After 12 or so hours of IOS 26 this operating system is unreal. Would suffice as a laptop replacement for like 95% of people. I was happy with where it was at, but this is completely nuts. iPad Stans rejoice lol.

Finally got iOS 26 for iPad. I was not offended by stage manager, but this rules. Psyched to make some custom screens and get everything setup the way I want it to be. Looking crisp and clean on the monitor.

I’m thinking of getting a maxed out older version of an iPhone. I don’t need the newest thing for my phone, but I’d like better battery life and a better camera. Does anyone have recs? I am not up to date on phones the way I am with iPads and MacBooks.

It’s such a good song to have on a playlist UNTIL the esoteric flute interlude lands. Gets me every time. Rules in the context of the album though.

I agree. During the Untitled era, Mark was still holding resentment for Tom and BCR. So this might be the first time since TOYPAJ where they all seem like they're finally on the same page again, personally and creatively. OMT was proof of that, and now that they're even more comfortable, Mark is fully healthy, I can only see them going up from here on the next album, and that is beyond exciting since OMT is still my most listened to Blink album since it came out.

I really appreciate that the OMT tour was about the band being back and sounding more excited and better than ever and this tour seems to be more about them being grateful and present. I think the deep cuts sprinkled in are cooler than an anniversary tour for TOYPAJ. I think the next release is going to be nuts. I truly believe they can reach the heights of Untitled in terms of the three of them cooking up something that redefines blink in this modern iteration.

Did a front to back on Never Enough for the first time in a few weeks. IMO Never enough is a better album but Glow On has higher highs. Something that drives me nuts though is Sunshower on a workout playlist. If I am cooking on a run, or doing a HIT workout it is so annoying to skip the interlude at the end. Definitely intended to hear as a whole piece. Both records are amazing though and I am excited to see what future releases look like. DIY hardcore for the masses.

Drum solo is def. dialed back on this run too, basically just the bridge part in Roller Coaster before Mark & Tom come back in..

Is anyone else noticing Travis settling into a less flashy more tight live performance. I was watching a bunch of old live videos from the untitled era a while back. Fun to see him always updating. Seems like his role as a producer on OMT was a big leap forward in giving the song what it needs rather than going completely bananas. Seems to be happening live on this tour too.

I have to imagine that Ilan's background vocals were a big draw (on top of elite drumming). Chris is good, but Pat and Nate have no business partaking in harmonies.

Psyched for Ilan. His trajectory has been wild to watch. Love every record he has been a part of. I am excited to hear his backing vocals and drum parts on a future release. Hoping he has more of an active role than he did in NIN recording wise. It is so hard to imagine anyone filling the hole left from Taylor, but Ilan is so unbelievably talented and unique it really seemed like great vibes up there last night.

Played through Lifeforms today in light of the Ilan show with the Foo Fighters. Best record from them in years. I don’t need another record from them but a couple of fest dates would be awesome. Seeing the show pre covid was pretty incredible. Psyched for Ilan. Dude is a monster and his open handed playing is so fun to watch live.
