Yeah, Nintendo is pretty much the Disney of video games at this point haha Both in mainstream appeal and being ruthless, lawsuit-happy companies

I still have my stub for that. Couple others from around then too. NFG/SoCo/Finch/Further was $15.50 Yellowcard/Plain White T’s/Don’t Look Down/Maxeen was $10 (a couple shows after this, Fall Out Boy joined the tour) Finch/The Used/Movielife/My Chemical Romance was $12 I paid a couple of bucks in fees on YC and Finch, but you could go to the venue and they’d charge you a dollar for printing tickets no matter how many you bought. EDIT: I totally forgot: that Finch show was free if you went to The Exchange (used CD store in NE Ohio) and bought What It Is To Burn. You also got a free t-shirt; I distinctly remember buying a ticket, finding out about the promo, and going to buy the CD for an extra ticket that I gave to a friend of mine.

they actually moved six Sunday bands to Saturday. For some reason that wasnt explained, they needed to start Sunday later. So yea considering I’m only going Sunday I wasn’t thrilled

Surely they could have moved some of those Saturday bands to Sunday to avoid Saturday starting at 10:15am.

Besides of course Jason and Drew, the only poster I remember consistently being around and prominent during all eras of me on these forums is Big Mike. I am almost 37 and I remember Big Mike being around here since I was a teenager. Mostly because he has never changed his avi once lol

The word “toxic” is extremely overused but absolutely describes a majority of the AP forums. There’s a reason they got nuked and I thank the lord everyday that they did.

Underground rap has always been good though, and it is definitely spinning its wheels too compared to the last decade. There hasn't been anything new there either, just more of it. Strongly disagree on the mainstream rap part. That has been completely floundering this decade (which is also my main point, since I think the mainstream side really matters when comparing rap decades), whereas in the 00s it was way more of a cultural force (I refuse to compare todays streaming numbers to actual record sales to measure relevance). EDIT: 00s mainstream rap was profoundly kneecapped too by the near-collapse of the music industry in the middle and later half of the decade. It “ended” (compared to where they would or could have been) a lot of careers because they lost momentum through no fault of their own (in some cases the law enforcement also played a part). The result was that most of the stars that managed to stay relevant into the next decade(s) were either firmly rooted in the 90s and had already built a strong foundation (Jay Z, to some extent Eminem) or came up towards the end of the decade when streaming turned it all around (Drake). The first five years or so were huge though. The first five years of this decade are way less vibrant compared to that.

I have an affinity for canned green beans, but I don't think I've eaten a canned vegetable in 10 years. On the other hand we eat canned beans several times a week.

Materialistic was good, just not as good as Past Lives. Chuck was pretty bad but I guess it kept me relatively intrigued.

I watches Past Lives two days ago and I couldn’t sleep that night because it fucked with me so much. The whole “what would my life have been if I had stayed” thing resonated so much with me because I also moved from country to country, in very similar increments, and also left people behind. It’s an amazing movie, but tough for me to process.
