Goff still was a major part of a run to a Super Bowl with the Rams, I think that has to be taken into consideration But yes it's a big gap between Garrett and Goff

Trevor is too new. List shouldn't be about projection and what ifs. Goff, most of his actual good play came for a different team so even if I believe he is a good player, he was a bad pick if that makes sense. But really I just think Burrow and Garrett are certified studs and everyone else on the list is certified bad or just mehhhh we'll see so who really wants to parse that haha

Yeah Lawrence is only 24 who was dealt a shitty year 1, emerged year 2, and was injured half of year 3. His second half of year 2 is what he'll be and I think he's going to come back and have a great year (if healthy). Plus, now he has a new WR in {DONNIE NO}

In reality I just think it's too soon to include Lawrence OR Walker (or obviously Young) in this list because I think they both have so much room to prove themselves, ESPECIALLY Walker But if I had to include them yeah I'd personally put Lawrence at 5, any higher feels like recency bias and any lower feels...ironically, also like recency bias

That’s fair I suppose I also think people wrote off what Trevor accomplished in year 2 too soon but we’ll have to see if he has a good year 4 and bounces back. It’s not like having a slump in year 3 is a good thing haha I acknowledge it was concerning

On the other hand most of Baker Mayfield's career were close to equivalent to the Urban Meyer year If Lawrence gets an excuse for that imagine how many seasons Mayfield gets excuses for

I do think as people talk about it as a whole Baker Mayfield will probably be underrated. He turned the Browns from a laughingstock into a team with personality outside of paper bags and that should be acknowledged. He's not CLOSE to the top 3 in any way but I do think he deserves recognition for that

Okay so even considering people that will be popping in and out we have a pretty crazy participation amount this draft for the zoom. Gonna share details about charity "activities" that are totally optional. 1. For the draft I will be matching any donations to RAINN. Feel free to send a screenshot of any donation you make via Chorus DMs or the Zoom chat and I will match those donations. 2. I'll be providing a link in the Zoom to a randomly generated bingo board for draft happenings (1 board per person please I can't go broke). It'll include things like a player's tragic backstory being shared, or Randall talking about Gabe Davis, as examples. If you get a bingo line I will donate $20 to the charity of your choice. If you can, it'd be cool to pick a charity from a player you root for. Anyone else can donate as well of course. For my own bingo board I'll be picking S.M.O.O.O.T.H. which is a charity started by Sabrina Greenlee (Deandre Hopkins's mom) that helps victims of domestic violence in recovery and establishing their independence from their abusers. Again this is all optional and there will be no kind of shaming for not participating in something like that but given how little the NFL cares about women in the actions they take, it'd be awesome if our little community did what we could to make a difference for all kinds of causes.
