i touched on it in the review but it seems like on time well they were really trying to make a Hum record, probably bc they were working with matt, and this seems like a more logical follow up to further out

The scene in Fleabag where the sister makes a big deal out of her awful haircut and then goes to the salon to complain and realizes it’s EXACTLY what she asked for is the funniest thing I’ve seen in many, many years.

Anyways it's snowing like an mf in Chicago so my commute got doubled and I had the opportunity to spin this in the car twice. Got to the outro of the title track as I drove down a stretch with trees on both sides with the snow blanketing the branches and I think I briefly left my body for a second Very excited to see them tonight

seems unclear. zac montez engineered it and it says they self-produced so i’m guessing no but i saw another article that says yes so idk. maybe they were just guessing

I don't really think of them as nu metal, though they get lumped in there. They really were as much a straight metal band. But you're correct, they did have a clear sonic identity.

i think further out still has some of their best songs, but i’d love it if they did a (cloakroom’s version) 10 year later thing. they’re just so much better at producing now.

they pretty clearly found a new path for what a heavy band can do and did it cohesively about as good as any band can lol. you just don’t like them, which is fine. that doesn’t mean they did a bad job at it.
