Would be dope to hear a reworked version of Alastika or Grow On Grow Up Grow Out. They should just re-record the whole album

there are plenty of front-to-back great albums within the genre. you just have to search harder for them now

pneuma is my goat, super curious to hear how those songs translate with age ngl i havent really felt to compelled to spin this album nearly as much as i expected, but it is great

sure, but it's also just a sound that screams mid-2010's. which is fine for transporting me back to that time, but it's an album that's very much not "timeless" in that way.

Can Moving Mountains get Waves and Pneuma repressed?

Some of it has aged pretty poorly IMO, particularly the Kanye and Jay Elec features

none of his albums are really great TBH. Acid Rap and Coloring Book are fun, but I really don't return to them often nor ever feel a desire to

Cover the Roots feels much darker and crunchier from the brightness of the original. Guitars sound huge. Can’t be helped that IMO a certain magic is missing and makes me want to hear the Pneuma track. But how wonderful to hear Greg sing those lyrics again. I still loved it. Too tired to listen to 8105 lol and will check it tomorrow

I have made it a focus this year to really get into more international and new age / jazz stuff that were previously major blindspots, which means I've mainly explored another side of instrumental music these days. But this album I recently discovered def fits in this thread. [MEDIA]

I missed out last time and regretted it so I went ahead and got it, but agreed that CD/digital is the better delivery method for these pieces.

French "new romantic/cold wave" duo from '81. extremely ahead of its time, obviously a huge influence on Stereolab [MEDIA] this one is also interesting, by a deaf French harpist and songwriter. album is from 3 years ago but could've come out in the 70s. a jazzy psych-folk mixed with electronics kind of sound. This was posted in the Ambient Thread but I do love seeing stuff like this here in the Vinyl Thread. No hate but we need WAY more ambient, jazz, older and international music posted in here - there's a bit of a surplus of emo and alt-rock which makes sense but tbh I don't really collect that stuff anymore. Disintegration Loops is a perfect album but the thought of getting up 16x to turn the record seems like it misses the point. Would be sick to own though.

I'm playing Wind Waker for the first time. Pretty much the only Zelda game I never got to play besides the handheld ones. I'm like halfway and loving the storyline.

absolutely incredible pair of classic albums from this 70's Croatian and Yugoslav artist. funky, soulful, avant-pop that ranges quite a bit in sound. [MEDIA] [MEDIA]

an 8LP set, damn. seems dope but can't help but feel like getting up to turn the record 16 times throughout the album defeats the purpose
