Just took this on a walk. Listened to the first 3 songs thinking 'can't believe no one has mentioned how bad the production is' before realizing my headphones are broken. Gonna try again tomorrow.

incredible album here, I'm so glad I just listened to Shaved My Head and held off on the rest of the pre releases because this thing tells a story. really feels like they brought together all their styles on this thing, even the last two songs with the Here Hear vibe

panorama definitely had a more low key marketing approach where i think they were trying to let the music and aesthetics speak for themselves more than draw a lot of attention to them, where this was basically promoted to keep their name in the media as much as possible also i gotta say its really nice hearing an album that took such a long time to come out that legitimately feels like it warrants the wait

this album is very cool, super dense but offers a lot of really compelling sprawling roads. jordan sounds insane here gonna be the odd one out and say that while i love this i do prefer panorama and still think its their strongest and most cohesive lp. guess i just look for different stuff in this band

i dm dino from dredg here and there, super super nice and genuine guy. i think the new album is coming in like a songs of a lost world way haha but at the very least all the clips they posted of it did sound great and miles better than the last album. gavin still sounds amazing

listening to The Fragile on vinyl in preparation for tomorrow’s show. this record sounds insane!!! I love 10 Miles High and think the album benefits from having it, as well as The New Flesh, here. literally the only thing I think this version of the album has against it is the (With Decay) section of Ripe being absent. I also like Please better with (Appendage) following it, and wish it wasn’t only on the cassette version. crazy that an album this long actually benefits from being even longer to me but this one does lol.

I went to pick this up at my local record store and realized both this and Pool Kids had vinyl delayed to October. Bummer because I bet both would have done pretty big numbers for each band given the reception.

The video stuff for "Copy Of A" is probably the coolest production thing I've seen at a live show.

i didnt really have a problem with the mix but i also tend to like my nine inch nails as loud and blown out as possible but yea the visual aspect was another level from anything else ive seen, esp during the hesitation marks songs

i mean, their career or notoriety probably won't be significantly impacted by people not engaging with them anymore because of their views on Palestine, and i don't think most people are expecting it to be impacted that way (even though it realistically should be). that doesn't change the fact that their centrist whataboutism is fucking ridiculous. we're expressing disappointment about that above all else, and people have the right to publicly do so, regardless of whether there's any direct impact on listenership, touring, or notoriety.

its crazy how normalized brand new still are in the scene, i saw a local band recently and one of the venue workers responsible for holding the show was out in the open with a shirt for their prudential center show this year. threw up in my mouth a little
