Howdy yall. Happy to say I have lost 50 lbs in the past 18 months. Never thought I'd be able to say that, and it also didn't play out like I always envisioned it. There were definite peaks and valleys but overall I just have been tweaking my lifestyle and habits little by slowly the past year and a half, I feel great. I just joined the gym again, i've been working out at home and just walking (sometimes jogging) at the park I live next to. I want to lift more and get stronger now as well as crank up my cardio game. Anyone have some simple advice for developing a lifting routine? I get so overwhelmed with trying to plan it out. There's soooooo much info out there about how to do it. I plan on being at the gym at least 5 days a week, its basically right next to where i live (a half mile away tops ). I have an app called fitbod which layed out a nice routine for me day to day. I guess i'm just not sure how I should break down what to work out and when. Still want to lose at least another 30 lbs. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Picked up the stranger thing chips ahoys after the gym. The strawberry filling isn’t very strong. There’s a slight taste, not as much as I had hoped. 6/10 cookies

Good for them. I imagine that would probably end up being one of the most liked Instagram posts of all time

The last 20 minutes of FvJ is a fun but I haven’t rewatched it in probably a decade. The soundtrack is unironically the best part of the movie and it’s not even that great. Very much a product of the early 2000s and ranked mid for both F13 and NOES filmographies.

Did anyone watch Zombie’s version of the Munsters? I never had any interest, but heard it was a huge miss.

Hmmm...I just recently reqtched this and don't remember that detail well. It is a really good movie, though. Damn, this is a great pick The first Halloween is interesting enough -- I actually like the part that everybody hates, which is the young Michael Myers portion. Zombie's tone is fun until its not (unnecessary rape scenes, characters threatening to skull-fuck each other, etc.).

Speaking of Zombie, I thought the first Halloween remake he made wasn’t awful. It’s still near the bottom of Halloween films, but after H2 it isn’t that bad. I think his best direction was with devil rejects even though I still don’t like it. Conceptually it felt more cohesive than anything else I’ve seen from him. That said, I have no idea who is target audience is, but it’s not me lol. Those films are way too vulgar to the point of it being obnoxious. Like, we get it, you think saying the f-word 100 times is dramatic, but come on. Expand that vocabulary.

I would happily take another gold/silver remake! Crystal would especially be sweet since we already got HG/SS back in the day... Love Suicune

Glad Indiana Jones is coming to Switch 2. Didn’t play it when it released last year but my friends that did said it was really good.

Making good progress on my second novel. Spent the whole summer/late spring working out the plot, arcs, character progression, that sort of stuff. Wrote a prologue for it back in May, but the last couple weeks I’ve written about 10,000 words. It starts almost immediately after the first novel so it’s fun to get back into that world. Almost felt like waiting for season 2 of tv show, but I get to plot out the story instead of just watching it.

I feel like a lot of those tik tok / reels cooking videos are intentionally over the top and yeah they’re fun to watch but insane to think about making in real life

Just spent the last 30 minutes scrolling through Halloween desserts on IG reels. Found a couple I want to make, but geez, 90% of what I saw just went way overboard with sugar. Combining cookies with brownies with more frosting with even more cookies. One bite and you’re done

There were also reports they have to go back and film 3 weeks of material with Doom because originally they had a stand in wearing the Doom suit on set while RDJ would say the lines. RDJ told them it wasn’t working and he needs to be the one wearing the suit so they have to reshoot it.

Halloween II is the second best Halloween sequel after 2018. The original, II, and 2018 are the 3 Halloween films I'd consider the best.

I've only ever watched NOES 1, 2, 6, and New Nightmare. I just couldn't get into the fantasy elements of those films. The first is good. The 2nd is okay. Jack Shoulder, the director of NOES2, was one of my instructors at my university so I'm a little biased when it comes to that film. Nightmare 6 is dog water. New Nightmare is whatever. The reboot never happened.

Not a fan of that design. Shame, too, because Victreebel is a great line in Gen 1.

So basically he had to rush and film all his scenes without other actors present. That has to be weird filming in that sort of way. Reminds me of when Ian McKellen broke down on the Hobbit set because he was acting by himself in front of a green screen for alot of it.
