Meh, I selected Fairbairn with my second to last pick of the draft and scored 17.

Doesn’t help that I had Diggs, Pollard and Godwin all sitting on my bench this week.

I was up by 53 and cruising to a victory and then Aubrey kicks for TWENTY ONE points, Jerome Ford gets 10 points in absolute garbage time and Montgomery gets 10 points in overtime and now I’m only up 3 after those 3 combined for 50 (projected to score 27 combined). I still have CMC to go but opponent has Purdy. I knew the second the Lions game went to OT Montgomery was going to eat. Fuck, I’m pissed.

I don’t know, the LP instagram posts are starting to get flooded with comments. In just 24-48 hours this went from underground rumor to very mainstream. they certainly cannot do any press because those questions would be top of mind. they already have a fraction of their fan base that is pissed off that they even tried to replace Chester, let alone with…this.

Their announcement about doing stadiums next year is super ambitious imo. Aside from all the controversy Emily has brought them, only 3 original members actually touring and fans already split on replacing Chester (before the controversy became mainstream), I think stadiums is going to be a very large ask.

Sorry for the long post lol For the last day, I’ve been conflicted about my feelings towards Linkin Park and Emily Armstrong. This was *my* first favourite band outside of any music my parents raised me on. Their music has always meant a lot to me and soundtracked two decades of my life, so I was devastated after Chester’s passing and couldn’t listen to their music without crying for about a year. I was excited when I was watching the livestream, saw the news, and wrote a news article about the band’s return with Emily on board for work. I was excited by her voice and how she warmed up to the songs as the set went along. Then, I saw what so many of us saw - her ties to Scientology and Danny Masterson. I researched for hours yesterday, found more sources, read comment boards, and tried to work out how I was feeling. After seeing her statement, I stand by how I felt yesterday: I don’t expect Emily to denounce a powerful cult like Scientology, but I really hoped she’d say something about her support of Danny Masterson. Honestly, I’m happy with her statement. I’m sure some people won’t be, and I understand that too. I know it’s watered down and probably drafted by a lawyer. But what gets me is that Emily is a second generation Scientologist - I’ve read and seen a lot about Scientology and know how hard it is for people to escape. I know that people who leave or criticise it after leaving are named “suppressive people,” and subsequently cut off from any family and friends still in the “church”. Leaving a cult and remaining OK requires a significant support system, and if Emily doesn’t have that, or doesn’t want to upset that (if she or family are still connected), I feel for her there. We’ve also seen how Scientology attacked Cedric and Chrissie and countless others in Leah Remini’s documentary, so I understand if Emily is doing her best to protect herself and isn’t denouncing Scientology. I also know some second-generation cultists - one of whom was engaged to my sister - and wow, the programming they’ve been raised in, how hard they fought against it to try and fit in, and moving back closer to the cult because they don’t know another way, is honestly tragic. I hold a lot of anger for parents who selfishly indoctrinate their kids like that. I’m still cautiously optimistic about Linkin Park’s future - I can’t lie and say that I can look past all of this with ease, because I can’t - and hope that everyone is happy and if Emily still has ties to Scientology, it’s not harming the band or anyone around them.

Still find it odd no other TBS members/band account acknowledged either one of Mark’s posts. John has liked all of Mark’s previous posts. He likes all of Adam’s posts. The band account always likes Adam’s and John’s posts… Something is fishy, folks.

Yep, Cleveland is a also significant underplay. BE played The Agora last year and are playing The Agora again in April -2,000 cap. Next week's show is at Beachland Ballroom, 500 cap.

Chicago is definitely a drastic underplay, I mean last time they were here they played a 3,500 capacity venue that was well attended, and this Chicago venue is only 500 capacity. Not to mention Conor sold this very venue out twice instantly when touring with Better Oblivion Community Center. I think the truth is people just need it spelled out for them this is Bright Eyes performing lol.

Mine is on a Sunday night, which is even worse imo. Worst night of the week for a concert. I wasn’t planning on going at first, especially because I bought tickets to the Spring tour already, but feel like this is a super rare occasion.

Controversy aside, that was fucking cool. Watched the entire stream while at my son’s soccer practice and I haven’t been much into LP in 12 years or so and there were parts of the stream I got emotional. Mike looked like he was having a fucking blast. Quite obviously, nobody can ever replace Chester but I thought Emily held up pretty well. Thats pretty close to a no-win situation for whoever was tasked with filling in.

You would think in this day and age, especially for a band as enormous as LP, their team would do an insane amount of due diligence before announcing a new singer. But...maybe they didn't? Or worse, maybe they don't care?
