I feel like this answer is a bit of a cop out. Like, I see your point, I don't think you are wrong. But we are talking about Taylor Swift, an artist who is literally capitalizing on the fact that each of her albums has a distinct sound, aesthetic and subject matter through her Eras Tour. If anything, she is the one creating the expectation that she reinvents herself with every era and reinforcing that narrative. I think my initial point was a pretty reasonable and tame critique there's no need to get so defensive.

great gig tonight. band sounded great. most merch sold out. pretty sure the 12" did as well. more love should be given to tim kasher. awesome as always. people mostly were talking over him.

Never really been into this band. I listened to Full Collapse a few years ago and it wasn’t for me. Saw the new song and checked it out on a whim and damn, I really like it. Because of that, I checked out No Devolucion because I thought maybe their “newer” stuff would be more like the single. 4 listens back to back to back to back later and you could say I’m addicted. It’s got a proto-Keep You pbtt vibe that I’m really digging.
