Evermore wasn’t a snooze on my first listen, though. That was my favorite Taylor immediately on first listen. This second disc really just sounds like listless rambling over Aaron Dessner loops. No Cowboy Like Me, no Ivy, no Coney Island.

Yeah, I’m officially just saying that Anthology is a bonus track CD. I’ll never return to these. The first CD is just so vastly superior. 16 great tracks.

Yup. Evermore is in a different stratosphere to me. Cowboy Like Me played at my wedding. With that said, I am really struggling with disc 2. Wish she kept it as is, cause I vibe more with the first half. It’s like much better Midnights, which is great for me, because Midnights will always remain a blind spot in her discography for me. Just don’t like it.

Not as big on side 2. That's the side that I find much more plodding. Maybe it'll grow on me? So High School is very good - more alt Taylor would be cool, though Olivia Rodrigo is ruling that realm.

I am a fan of the album, but I do agree with this. State of Grace in particular has such a beautiful soaring hook, and it has been a bit since we've gotten that.
