I remember her proudly trying to get censored on that one New Year’s Eve telecast but instead being allowed to say everything she wanted to say without any incident being very funny.

So many of them are dim bulbs trying to bravado their way to being adored as deep philosophers without any of the thought, culpability, or accountability.

They can’t play trailers because the projector at that theater, the Vista, is set up specifically for Vistavision and OBAA. So, Aziz stood at the front and talked about his shitty movie before the screening of an incredible film at one of 4 places in the world to see it on that format.

A few days ago, Aziz was at a Vistavision screening of One Battle After Another in LA and he spoke before the movie to promote his new movie. I think a lot of folks who were soft cancelled are going to be testing out a return in the next 3 years.

To me, the new album kind of sounds like if Paul Rudd was in an A24 dramedy about a guy who was in a goth band and they released that goth band’s album as the soundtrack.

Really? Trailer felt repetitive to me.

I thought this was as bad as the first show. Dismukes is not a Hader/Bennett glue guy and Yang is not a Wiig/McKinnon powerhouse lead performer. Fineman still hasn’t improved upon the initial spark of her first season and has IMO regressed as an impressionist and comedian on the show. Why is Sherman not doing her edgy and weird stuff? Please let the new people take over and remake the show and see if sketches can feel surprising and new. Mikey Day, I do give props to as he seems to be happy being a supporting player and, in that position, he’s perfect.

I am a bit wary of anything that was produced in the years before Marvel said “Just kidding! We’re scaling back on the shows and output and the multiverse!” as far as how it fits in, any new wrinkles or surprises it adds to the MCU, etc. but I’ll do what I always do with these shows and go in open to being surprised and delighted.

The extra info is helpful. I’m more curious and thinking out loud as to whether Marvel wants people to think this might actually be an unusual non-super hero series (and the actual super hero stuff will be a surprise) or if they figure everyone has google and knows who Wonder Man is and the teasers are more withholding the super hero stuff just to keep the specifics under wraps and be coy.

Pretend I have no idea what Wonder Man is or what that character is. Is there a reason the teasers are staying grounded and making the show seem like it’s about the production of a super hero movie? Is it supposed to make me lean in and go “hmmm. What’s going on here? There’s no actual super heroes in this?”
