Ah I actually just did the math for real lol. So including everything I mentioned about plus the one off singles (Christmas Tree Farm, Carolina, You're Losing Me, etc) and the features on that Ed Sheeran song and Big Red Machine, it's about 140.

I think it is. Doing quick math off the top of my head, I think all the tracks from Lover, folklore, evermore, Midnights, TTPD and all the vault tracks, its still something like 150 new songs in 5 years. Pretty wild.

I think releasing album 2 as a stand alone vinyl is the most plausible options. Otherwise it would be a 4xLP, which just seems like a heavy lift for production purposes, especially given the 1 million copies of the first album that just got pressed.

Oh wow I didnt realize there have been complaints. I thought the whole point of the sphere was that even in the very last row you get a full visual experience. Even if that's true, as someone who has sat in the nosebleeds for a stadium show before, that experience is very shitty. I can't imagine spending over $200 to see Taylor and sitting in the upper deck of a football stadium.

Woah! Put that in your pocket for MWE next year. I'm pretty happy with how disc 1 works; could maybe lose a track or two. The second disc is nice, but it does feel pretty samey on my initial listens. I think that's what she's aiming for.

I'm basing this on absolutely nothing, but I would love to see Taylor do a very long residency at The Sphere in Vegas next year. She's become too big for a typical tour. Even 3 nights per city at the local stadiums, the demand is too damn high. Making her show a destination event would help quell insane ticket demand. And she'll still net the same amount of money since they're saving on traveling across the country with her entire production.

Going through my second listen of album 1 right now. Title Track, Down Bad, Guilty as Sin and I Can Do it With a Broken Heart are enough to make this better than Midnights. But there's a big chunk of songs on here that just feel derivative of one another. Still havent listened to album two. Gonna get to that later this afternoon.

I will say... My wife may have cracked some kind of code haha. While we were waiting for 2 AM to roll around, after we listened to the first half of the album in full, my wife put the "All Too Well" (10 Min version) music video on to kill some time. Watching it, she noticed that after "the girlfriend" and "the boyfriend" broke up, it says "13 years later", and then shows "the girlfriend" has finished writing a book (which was written on a typewriter.) Jake G and Taylor broke up in November 2011, which is 13 years ago. "The Manuscript" reallyyy makes it sound like she's written a book. "But the story isn't mine anymore"

Early impressions: Better than my first listen of Midnights but very one note. Missing a new level, which means the over exposure becomes a factor and it just feels … ok? And a little lacking. the Starting Line reference rules If you told me this was a bunch of bsides or (fake) versions of the vault tracks I’d believe you. this roll out has bugged me and felt exploitative if I was a consultant for a career (lol no one cares what I think at this level) .. I’d recommend a break, a reset, and work on the songs until they don’t feel like lesser versions of what you’ve don’t before
