I believe they’re all lurkers on the board. So if they are reading the comments, I hope they are encouraged by the near-universal praise here and elsewhere. It’s been a hot minute since they released a lead single that had this much cohesive positive opinion.

My daughter LOVES Never Enough. I will stand in the hallway of an adjacent room and listen to her sing the chorus to herself, knowing the second I walk in she’s gonna stop. Music is the best.

There is so much more to that story that people don't know. Patrick told me some of it once, long ago, over AIM.

Can confirm both my 3 and 9 year old daughters go wild for turnstile. TLC was my oldest daughter’s jam during Covid.

I've already had to email them because of shenanigans like this. I've had two previous orders flat-out canceled on me for no good reason besides they "oversold" it. The only successful order I've gotten from IVC is the Blink Untitled pressing from early 2024. Not holding my breath I'm actually gonna get this one and yet I still forked over my money for the opportunity. Fingers crossed :fingerscrossed: FYI, to anyone ever needing to contact IVC, you have to go to the "Help & Support" page and wait for a little blue "Help?" box to appear in the lower left hand corner. that's the only method they offer for contacting their customer support.

Songs are great so far! Seeing Stars was a nice treat and Birds rips. People get too in their heads with expectations and opinions on how artists should create their next project. I'll never understand it and they'll always be let down. Gonna have this album on repeat all year just like GLOW ON. Turnstile summer!

I think I want a couple of those octopus graphic shirts on that HMYIM Instagram account. I can't wear anything that says "Hi My Name Is Mark" on it since my name actually is Mark. I made that mistake back in the day, and it led to the same awkward small talk with every person I interacted with lol.

Melodrama has some of the best production I've ever heard, it's incredible what they created on that album. Songs like The Louvre and Hard Feelings, among others, still floor me each time I hear them. That album is exactly what I love about music. Extremely creative, diverse, yet still catchy as hell and beautiful and weird and challenging

The grouchiness of them not changing enough is a head scratcher to me. They have been doing the same thing since they dropped their first record. It is a deepening and refining every release, the fact that a punk band has permeated pop culture and maintained their ethos is completely insane. To have Charlie XCX shoutout you out at a major music fest and have a new single drop today that could be lifted off your second record from a decade ago with better production and visuals is WILD to me. They have been given a platform to share this genre and DIY spirit to planet earth and everyone is watching. What is there not to be completely excited about? Also these three singles have radical range to them.

also it's funny because we are kind of seeing it with Lorde in a way. People didn't like Solar Power but you could argue that it showed a lot of "growth" from Melodrama and now for her next album cycle people are stoked that it's Melodrama part 2 haha

I just flatly reject the premise that there's zero "growth" in the three songs we've heard, let alone knowing there's still 11 more to come. A lot of the growth between the last two albums was they doubled down on melody and tried some interesting things in the mid-tempo range. Going further in that direction in "Seein' Stars" I can easily see as being called "growth." Playing a song from Non Stop or Time & Space and then any of these three would easily show "growth." The album after your commercial breakthrough is probably not going to be an entire reinvention of your sound. And given what people have said about the new album, that it's an "elevated Glow On", I think it's not only reasonable to expect that, but elevating one of the best albums of the last like decade is good, and cool, and I have no problem calling it "growth."

Yeah as much as I don’t like 152 and only enjoy a handful of Tidal Wave songs, I’ve gotta hand it to TBS for evolving their sound with each release. Them trying to make a TAYF style record now would be boring and really make the band feel washed

3 songs of a 14 song album. Three unique songs that have elements of their previous songs in them, which makes sense given it's the same band, but still sound wholly Turnstile doing their style of music ... very well! ... little surprised by some of the overt negativity.
