    Same here. I like the design of the iPhone Air, but I love the cameras on my 14 Pro too much to make that sacrifice. I’ll wait and see what the 18 Pro has. Hopefully better colors than the 17 Pro. I also hate these prerecorded keynotes. Can we actually get someone back on a stage?

    Some of the songs on Red that people don't dig really just make that record for me. Taylor goes Snow Patrol? I fucking love Snow Patrol, so count me in. Taylor goes Mazzy Star, for a ballad that wears all the exhaustion of a long-distance relationship on its sleeve? Genuinely one of my favorite songs of hers. The one and only Taylor Swift song produced by Butch Walker, with arguably the best-ever utilization of Ed Sheeran on a song?! IMO, it was her best duet up until "Exile." And the oft-derided "Starlight"? Swooning, romantic pop bliss, if you can just ignore that it's about RFK's kid. Some days, I love the back half of that album more than the front half. Today is one of those days.

    Summary of today's announcements: I've been waiting for AirPods Pro 3 ever since the Pro 1's released in 2019. I had to resort to wearing Beats Fit Pro for four years in lieu of both AirPods Pro models, since they hurt my ears. I missed out on all the cool AirPods updates over the years, so I'm excited the most for those. I was unimpressed with the Watch offerings outside of battery life updates. I've had the Ultra 2 for two years and I just don't see enough to get me to update it. It's the best value I've gotten out of any Apple Watch. iPhone 17 seemed okay. LOVE the design of the Air, but no way I'm giving up the cameras or battery life for it. The Pro seems like a decent upgrade in the areas I care about the most (see above). Stoked for that new selfie camera (Landscape SelfiesB-)). I was not expecting such a bold orange, even with the leaks. I think they avoided giving the Pro the standard black or natural gray colors due to the resemblance of the Ultra watch and to push buyers to the Air. AirPods Pro 3, Orange 17 Pro Max, and a new watchband for me. I also went with a color-matched Orange case. I've enjoyed having the natural titanium finish for watch and phone for two years, but I'm tired of the gray. The orange will be a refreshing change.

    I got a refurbished ultra 1 after the 2’s came out for way cheaper than a new one and it looked brand new. It’s the shit. I’m big time refurbished Apple products. I’ll buy a daily driver new when it goes on sale or headphones new but literally everything else I do refurbished and I’ve never had any complaints.

    I'm at 96% on my 16PM since launch and it did not drop from 100% until August 1st (I checked semi-daily) and it's depleted a little faster recently. I kept it at 85-90% charge limit all year except for things like being outdoors for a full day or concerts.

    I saw this take from one of the guys behind Halide on Threads: The Air allows Apple to make the Pro what it really should be - thicker, more battery life, chock full of features. There's a reason why it has those colors. Apple is really trying to drive people to the Air with it having the traditionally "Pro" colors.

    It's the same for mine. I'm cancelling the AppleCare+ on my 16 Pro Max for a $100 refund on my payment plan, and subbing to AppleCare One when I get the 17 Pro Max and adding my Ultra 2 to that. I think a lot of people are having issues with AC One for all different use cases.
