I personally think it means the cure debate is a waste of time and energy. The logistics of a cure in this world don’t matter. Joel would have done it even if there was a 100% certainty that it would work. Which makes the cure logistics a non issue.

I think the point is that he believed the cure would work, but he still did what he did.

Steve's right, everyone, just end the show now. Message received, what more can they possibly do?

I see what they mean, but I do find it kind of funny how they’re mentioning “preventing leaks” and “doing it the way TLOU2 did” in the same string there.

Also, the most we know about the story is that the main character crashes onto a mysterious planet and encounters members of an ancient religion or something like that.

Actors have been quoted recently saying that they’re currently doing motion capture for it, which would imply that they’re still pretty far out on it.

I'd wager they're going to do all of Abby's flashbacks, and probably a dedicated Seraphite episode, so I think they could at least do 6 for season 3

If those are your feelings on Book of Boba Fett, I think you should definitely check out everything you’ve missed/listed. All of them are better and/or have cooler moments than that series.

That is surely the worst of the live action show. As much as I was not a big fan of s3 Mando, it is better than that. Skeleton Crew was solid. Overall, more light hearted but not too much to the point it’s only for kids or anything. People called it Goonies in space and they’re not wrong. Worth a watch. The Acolyte was good. I think it had a lot of interesting ideas and cool set pieces. Some people flipped out about changing lore, but I would say they should reevaluate it from a certain point of view instead. There were a few things I didn’t love, but its positives outweigh those for me. Worth watching, but it’s a bummer since it very much sets up more story and it wasn’t renewed. Ahsoka, I mostly really loved it. Big part of that is that I LOVED Rebels, so getting to continue its story in live action was quite the treat. I have some issues with it, but they don’t really affect my love of what I like. Worth watching overall, especially since some characters could show up in Mando movie/future seasons/Mandoverse movie. The Bad Batch is great. Consistently solid. Definitely finish the show.

The only reason I could think that season 3 would be longer is to have more time with Lev and Yara (and I suppose Abby), to make those moments more impactful. Also with two years between seasons, I could potentially see Part III and a hypothetical season 5 both releasing in 2031.

Okay now I’m certain season 3 will be only Abby’s part of Seattle, with season 4 being the Farm and Santa Barbara. Both seasons will certainly flesh things out a lot. Although now it makes me a little bummed that they did Ellie’s Seattle portion in only 3 episodes.

Skeleton Crew was super fun and sweet. if you liked the other seasons of Bad Batch I can't see why you'd dislike the final one, it was a fantastic ending imo. only thing there that's actually bad is Mando s3

None of it is on the level of Andor. I’d say Skeleton Crew is just simple and fun, with no need to worry about all the lore and baggage of everything that came before it. Ahsoka is also a lot of fun, but has its flaws. Basically a live action Rebels continuation. The Acolyte is a missed opportunity in my book. Mando season 3 is meh at best. Bad Batch is worth finishing if you watched the first two seasons.

I disagree on it being a mid/post credit scene. But I do think we cut to black on the “we let you live, and you wasted it!” Then a quick few seconds of Abby waking up at the stadium or whatever other base, with the Seattle Day One title card, and that’s where we leave it for season 3. Gives a cliffhanger, but also prepares general audiences for Abby leading season 3.

Santa Barbara, for all we know could be S4 and next season is JUST Abby POV and that would put the end of the show.......4 years at least from now. Do you really expect TV audiences to remember S2 that many years back and the importance of the porch? Druckmann himself did this episode, I think he out of everyone else is more than capable of translating the story from a game audience to TV audiences.

I’d agree not as impactful as it won’t reveal any new information. That’s true. But I think going to that moment at Ellie’s lowest point of losing everything, it’s a memory that she will cling to for motivation to go on. I mean, it’s clear we will see the Dino stuff, but I could be wrong about when. Although, if not then, when would it make sense to move to and what is shown at the end? I’m not sure. I think it’s safe to say the Eugene scene takes the place of the attempted trip to the music store flashback. Given how tonight went, the Salt Lake flashback is pointless to show. edit: Salt Lake flashback not only pointless but obviously contradict what we just saw haha

Rather than ending on the “reunion,” they’ll end on touring the dinosaurs and maybe even ending on the brontosaurus (is that the name still? I don’t know) to mirror the giraffe scene to end on a much happier note. That’s my theory now.

I just don’t see that being as impactful as their final conversation/the bittersweetness of Ellie telling him she wants to try to forgive him.

Yeah, I’ll say I don’t know if I like that Ellie found out (explicitly) and said she wanted to try to forgive him, all in the same conversation. Really don’t see how they give us a comparable scene to end the series with.

Been on a chronological rewatch with my partner and we’re just about to the second arc of Andor season 2. It’s her first time watching it all. (Controversial, I know.) We started with the OT, then watched Acolyte as it aired and went from there. It’s been cool seeing things through her eyes as we go.
