This is the only SDCC between now and the release date. There’s little to no chance that they don’t show something. Gunn was also only a week into filming the first Guardians when they showed up with a full trailer at SDCC.

Don’t feel like I’ve seen any super high praise of it. The best seems to be relatively lukewarm. That, mixed with the absolutely insane budget, makes me feel like it’s not something they’ll want to take another swing at. That being said, I’d love to be proven wrong, especially if a season 2 is more dark side centric.

Never had my schedule align with SDCC, unfortunately. Passes typically go on sale each November, right? I’d have to plan in advance with flights if I was to ever attend.

I’m still on the fence. Is it good that the show will allow more breathing room and include stuff the movies couldn’t? Absolutely Will it be able to capture the magic and charm of the movies? I hope, but I’m not optimistic

"How does it make sense for them to show Jecki practicing with sticks one scene, then doing full blown dual wielding battle in another." Is the complaint I've seen a bit and it's like...gah. Padawan's are both students and soldiers for lack of a better term. It's like...a big portion of the question "are the Jedi kinda fucked up?" lol. Of course she still practices and of course she still takes classes but also they wouldn't bring her on very dangerous missions if she couldn't handle herself. Yord even said so himself. Anyway rant over.

RPK said that filming for Fantastic Four begins on July 24th in London. If the cast appears, it will likely have to be via video call. I doubt Marvel would fly them to London only to have them fly back to Comic Con on the 27th. Although cast and crew have flown overseas to attend Comic Con in the past, doing it just two days after filming starts seems unlikely.
