Finally looking at that sale in earnest and the first two Tasha records are $2 and $5 for CD/LP respectively. Everyone should buy a copy of both of them.

I would LOVE a redo of the first boygenius tour where they each played a solo set and then did a bg set. The crowd would be different this time around and it wouldn't be at like a <1000 cap venue but things change I guess.

I have a cheap Phillips micro hifi system from the later 00s, when my mom gave it me when I moved out in like 08. It sounds solid enough for what it is (I grew up sharing earbuds and listening to 00s rap mixtapes, so I’m not a hardcore audiophile) but the CD player has been making a lot of noise since like 2010, so I hardly ever use it for CDs (I do sometimes use it to listen to vinyl records, via the record player that is hooked up to it). Anyway, it didn’t really bother me, but now that my car stereo (which was excellent) doesn’t work anymore, it has started to bother me because I have now no proper way to play my CDs. So last week I ordered a Denon RCD-M41 (which apparently is like the best micro system around these days) and matching speakers. I was underwhelmed (it also didn’t property amplify my record player, unlike the cheap Phillips), and it was like €460 in total (which for me is meaningful right now), so I sent it all back. I figure I will put together my own system for the same price at some point. I have now dug up a Sony D-140 discman that still works and ordered a cord to hook it up to my Phillips system. If it sounds solid enough I’m gonna order an RCA Switch so I don’t have to unplug the record player. Maybe a Bluetooth receiver too (though maybe not since my little Bluetooth speaker is fine for that). The cord and the RCA Switch cost me like €30 combined and both can be used in the future. Figured this is a cheap way to kick the can down the road. Sharing just to share because my wife doesn’t wanna hear it anymore.

Didn’t realize this until I looked at the setlist on setlist dot fm but they had Clarice Jensen playing cello?! She fucking rules, highly recommend her solo material if you haven’t checked it out.

These were in the background of my last post but it's Final Fantasy's 35th birthday in the US so here's an irresponsible number of FF soundtracks/adjacent CDs Definitely none of these are unofficial releases please don't look too closely at the catalog numbers

Also I can't find the story anymore (presumably because it expired) but there was a pic of Geoff's merch spread for this tour and it was copies of Someone Who Isn't Me and two stacks of physical mixtapes. I'm guessing they're his two old mixtapes? [MEDIA] [MEDIA]

Teasing the (long overdue) public release of the Signals performances [MEDIA] Weirdly not mentioning Signals v3. I'm surprised to hear how low their budget was cause I thought all 3 shows were fantastically produced and professional. From sound mixing to camera work and pacing it was perfect. A lot more creative ideas than other live streams at the time as well (I watch so many of these streams, probably the best thing that came out of such a dark time)
