Ten songs is a bit short, but Malibu Nights only had nine, and it’s been my most-played album since 2018.

So, I live a 10 minute walk from the Black Sabbath bridge, just down the canal. It’s not the direction I would usually go on my walks cause it’s down the party street and I avoid it unless I’m going out, but I did on Saturday. Was pretty touching. A big crowd, listening to Ozzy and Sabbath tunes, laying down flowers, etc. There’s also loads of other Sabbath stuff going on around the city following the Back To The Beginning show, which has been very cool to see. The funeral is taking place tomorrow with a precession through the city. Should be pretty special.

Liked this much more on a second viewing. Looking forward to this being my daughter's first in-theater Marvel movie later this week (she's only seen the first Captain America overall).

Would Gosling be too old to play Nova? I’m not against it, but he’d have to play a more seasoned Richard. I’d rather him as Nova than Ghost Rider

Is it due to his Walking Dead role or do you get that energy throughout his career? I was afraid that he would carry the Dixon energy to Death Stranding, but I didn’t feel it during his scenes in the game.

We’ll have the “new” reality that forms during/after Secret Wars. It depends on what is kept from Earth-828. I can see some of the tech, the Baxter building, and possibly a district of the aesthetic existing in the “new” New York. Subterrania would be nice. There are rumors that one of the next big bads is , so perhaps the F4 sequel will relate/build to that

This is where I’m at with most films: I judge a movie based on how “good” it is and how “entertaining” it is. Some Marvel films score higher on the entertainment side, which can make me enjoy them just as much as a truly well-made film. In a way, it’s like arguing about the value of reading both comic books and classic literature. I can enjoy Claremont’s X-Men just as much as Romance of the Three Kingdoms, but for vastly different reasons. I don’t think it devalues one or the other if I rank both of them a 9/10.

I want MCU films to be rewatchable, whether that’s because they’re genuinely good or simply entertaining. These are films that will be around forever, and I’ll have to pay the same amount of money to see them, so I don’t want to waste my time watching something I won’t enjoy. I’ll still give them the same leeway I give any movie, though. That leeway varies depending on the film and my expectations. For example, I’ll forgive Shang-Chi’s third act. While it turns into a CGI fest that doesn’t quite match the tone of the first two acts, I enjoy seeing the Ten Rings used in a DBZ-esque way. The quality dips, but the entertainment doesn’t, so I won’t hold it against the film. Having said that, there are other films that I can’t excuse and I’m sure we’ll mostly agree on which films those are.

I’d also pick Thunderbolts over this. I don’t see myself coming back to this often. If I do, it’ll be for the aesthetic. Feige mentioned they used some of the Fantastic Four sets for Doomsday, so I’m looking forward to seeing more of that.
