Last week people were complaining that Ellie was just given all of her supplies and didn’t have to search a billion drawers for them, and this week literally opened with her and Dina searching through drawers for supplies. Thought that was funny.

Loved the episode. Bella and Isabela are so good together, but that was the most extreme U-Haul lol. The tv station and subway scenes were so tense. Glad them gave them an expanded budget for this season.

My daughter LOVES Never Enough. I will stand in the hallway of an adjacent room and listen to her sing the chorus to herself, knowing the second I walk in she’s gonna stop. Music is the best.

4 year old listens to Never Enough on repeat. First thing out of his mouth when we get in the car is “can we listen to the new Turnstile?” The answer is always yes. I’m on a work trip currently, so I told my wife there were two new songs. She said he likes Seein’ Stars but that he LOVED Birds. Head banging in the backseat the whole time.

Sorry if this derails, but that age was so sweet with my daughter. One time, while driving 40 minutes to meet her mother we listened to “Boys Will Be Boys” by Dua Lipa 6 (yes I counted) and “Cell Out” by NOFX 8 times. The song would end and she would quietly say “again daddy”. Thank you for reminding me of that time, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Turnstile is definitely daughter-core. My 3 year old calls Never Enough her song. Tried to show her the other two yesterday but she just yelled at me until I put Never Enough on.

Love the songs, loathe some of the production choices -particularly the muddiness and overuse of fuzz on the guitars. Back half is less abrasive in that regard I will admit though. Hoping the songs will make me want to revisit this enough to look past the production.

Absolutely love every record AGO has put out all for different reasons. Excited for the hype about a return to a louder sound, although I'd take folk-ish all day, maybe that means more Hussey in the future. Still remember when I first listened to The Season thanks to them releasing on Favorite Gentleman. Movement doesn't get mentioned enough though, that EP is just as good as any of the records.

I got to listen to the next album, and it is a fucking BANGER. It is definitely a deviation from their last album, which was more folksy, while this is a ‘return to early days’ full on rock album. It also probably contains my favorite AGO song ever.

Sadly, this is a big miss for me. I like the first single and song with Jeff, but the rest was by-the-book PUP (in a boring "I've heard this before" way) and the fuzzy production is grating.
